PURPOSEFUL PARENTS HOMESCHOOL THEIR CHILDREN WITH PURPOSE

Various personality types are prevalent in human beings. Parents and children may have similar or very different personality types. If we understand personality types as being different languages, imagine telling a child who speaks English that a certain place's geographic location is 1,000 miles in Mandarin. So even with good intentions of the parent, the message when teaching, is not getting through.

This is the key to academic success, especially in homeschooling, that the parent-teacher teaches in a language that the child understands. The more the parent understands and becomes familiar with the child’s language, the more effective the teaching and learning process is. Speaking and teaching in a child’s language, enables you to communicate more effectively, allows you to know when to apply corrective action or promote engagement, and energizes you to work on their individual strengths and train their weaknesses.

To commence the homeschooling process, we as parents must acknowledge our fears; work on tracing the source of those fears; remove those fears; fill these gaps with inner confidence; and then implement them appropriately in practice.

Society has created norms and standards, so that we have become submissive parents, instead of being an intentional, deliberate, and purposeful parent. These intentional parents are parents who decide:

§?Who educates my child?

The lifespan of a child is limited, so there is no time to waste. Then parents feel that they are not qualified? The truth is you are because you love your children the most. Yes, you will need guidance on program rollout and assessments. You may need specific teaching and learning interventions for at-risk students or in certain subjects. But, the LEADER of this teaching and learning process is YOU. You are the Chief Executive Officer (similar to a company), supported by various professionals in Marketing, HR, IT, etc. But you are the boss. You engage experts in areas of need, but you are the Captain of your Ship. The What, Where, When, Why, How, Whom of homeschooling is determined by you.

Society has been conditioned that our education system creates workers in the masses. Put differently, the mass global education system has been designed to develop followers, not leaders. Homeschooling is different and a direction against this mass education system that promotes unemployed graduates.

Homeschooling creates leaders, not workers. With your leadership and appropriate partner experts in your specific areas of need, create well-rounded professional graduates with leadership qualities, required for our changing global landscape.
