As millennials, we need to continuously think differently. The context of the world we live in, more than ever before, needs us to open up our childlike nature to ask the big questions that could change the world.
This is how one can grow into purpose. By questioning things around you as well as yourself.
Unfortunately, many have lost touch with this aspect of their lives. The ground breaking discovery by Albert Einstein that brought about E=mc^2 was solved from looking at the problem differently.
At their time all the scientist have tried all they knew but reached a dead end. Dr. Einstein decided to ignore everything he knew has a scientist.
While other scientists were only looking at the problem with what they already knew, Einstein opened his mind to unlikely possibilities.
Centuries down the line, Jacob Barnett, an 11 years old autistic child went on to improve on Newton's and Einstein's work. The secret was that he was only thinking of this world from a different perspective.
This explains why most people would naturally run towards the current trend. By default, we try to approach a problem by what we already know.
Ladies and gentlemen, our predominant culture, media and educational system sort of train you to think in a systematic and oftentimes stereotypical way by default.
I am reminded of the words of Apostle Paul. "Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think."
Literally it shows us that God even needs to change the way you think, in other to transform you.
