PICTURE OF THE WEEK - TORTOISE BOY
POST OF THE WEEK - #NEXTGEN
Millennials and Gen Zs look at business and society differently, so leaders be aware (and beware). According to Deloitte’s ‘Generation Disrupted’ research, most still believe business has a positive impact on society (55%) but confidence is going down (61% in 2018). Many are choosing relationships with companies whose core business has positive social or environmental impacts (42%), while some are lessening ties with companies with a perceived negative impact (38%). Income inequality and unemployment are seen as the top issues facing society, and helping their communities scores higher as a priority (46%) than having children (39%). Times are a-changin’.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK - #DENIAL

POEM OF THE WEEK - THE ELEMENTS
When leaves are red and clouds are grey / When vision fades and edges fray / I turn towards the changing sky / To teach me that all things must die
When days are dark and nights are long / When less is more and right feels wrong / I call upon the patient earth / To teach me in the ways of birth
When branches bud and flowers bloom / When life emerges from the womb / I give my thanks for flowing streams / To teach me how to nurture dreams
When skies are blue and hopes are high / When love is bright and wishes fly / I turn towards the blazing sun / To teach me how the race is run
The elements of life’s desire – / Air and water, earth and fire – / Combine to make the circle whole: / The swirl of body, mind and soul.

BOOK OF THE WEEK - SUSTAINABLE FRONTIERS
Sustainable Frontiers shows how we must find ways to let go of an industrial system that has served us well, but is no longer fit for purpose. How we will need to let go of old styles of leadership and out-dated models of business, high-impact lifestyles and selfish values. How we must learn to let go of cherished ideologies that are causing destruction and beliefs about ways to tackle problems that are failing to resolve crises. If we are to reach sustainable frontiers, it must begin with changing our collective minds - and only then will we change our collective behaviour. How we accomplish such a global mind-shift is the subject of Sustainable Frontiers.?
THOUGHT OF THE WEEK - THEATRE

PRE-ORDER "THRIVING" (NEW BOOK)
"When you look at planet Earth from a living systems perspective, you realize that sustainability is not a goal in itself, it is the byproduct of the biological process of regeneration. Only those that leave the world better off are able to survive over the long haul. Regeneration therefore is a much more effective and appealing answer to resolve the multiple intertwining crises we are facing today. In his newest book Thriving Wayne Visser makes a solid case for regeneration. He not only offers points for action but many beautiful heart stirring poems drenched in wisdom that will stay with you."
