The Purpose of Experiencing Art.
This is addressed to those who want positive change in the art community. Good art with beauty, truth, and the divine (love) aims for higher transformation through meaning.
Great art provokes an involuntary emotional response. Like laughter from a joke. This honest feedback helps define the quality of art. Art provides meaning, observations, and proposes ideas. The best art does this in a way that opens a dialogue or participates in a societal issue.?
This participation is also a form of play that helps create new neuro-pathways. Helping people change through incorporating new beliefs and behaviours.
A.I. art or digital art seems to be parodied or a commentary without original authenticity. It can only exist as a lesser version that stems from something greater or more important.
Developing Meaningful Growth.
People have the capability to alter their genetic makeup to a certain degree through their experience. This was proven through Dr. Bruce Lipton’s research. This is done because beliefs and thoughts influence your outer cells to improve your physical and mental health or tear it down.?
Another study also explores the genetic transformation called epigenetic activation gene sequences influenced by your environment. This demonstrates how important attention, focus and your environment are.
Not only your genes are continuously dying but what you experience influences who you become. This experience can be described by what you feel and where you put your attention.?
Interestingly sales can also be described as promising the customer a desired transformation or result. Similar to what I’m insinuating when it comes to great art. It fulfils a need for this desired result.
Holistic Approach To Making Art
Traditional art was used to celebrate god this created a sense of interaction or dialogue. Meant to create or be a part of a communion. One thing you can consider when creating art is how people are going to relate to it or what the is conversation around it.
Before addressing the quality of the art we must first define its purpose, function and message. This context will help determine if it’s achieved the quality standards I’m about to explore.
The Divine:
The divine, God, or love can be used similarly to express the highest virtue or value in humanity. It can be described as the logos of humanity—the highest ideal.?
An aspect of this love we can consider is what or who we are meant to serve on behalf of this love.
Truth:
Truth can easily be misconstrued and distraught when multiple perspectives interact with it. This led me to think about a story where the moral was, a man can be correct but not right, good or ethical. This leads me to conclude that there are some truths more valuable and important than others. If you use the divine, God or love as a way to measure the highest truth this will help you direct where your attention should be.?
Truth is particularly important and depends on the message and function of your art. Empathy and sincerity seem like important aspect of art that helps this dialogue or participation in the community.
It’s also important to recognise that reality supports the truth while lies are short-lived. A marker of great art can be what truth it’s representing.

Beauty:
Beauty is a difficult thing to define. What appeals to one person may not appeal to the next. It also requires more frameworks to help define how you decide if the beauty in art, works or not. If this serves its function, purpose and message.?
When thinking about washi-washi (the Japanese craft and philosophy). It requires creating something unique as everything won’t be broken in the same way. This creates a layer of scarcity and a sense of sacredness. It also serves its function. To appreciate things that are imperfect.?
I’m going to explore this problem of how to create appropriate beauty in art below.

Additional Thoughts
Patterns in art create rhythm and synchronicity. Patterns correctly and clearly guide your eyes. Holds your attention. Can realistically reflect the real world (this realisticism makes art relatable and easier to interpret). Relatability seems to be necessary for a resonating message or purpose.?
