Purpose of doing work
The New Year is a painting not yet painted; a path not yet stepped on; a wing not yet taken off! Things haven’t happened as yet! Before the clock strikes twelve, remember that you are blessed with the ability to reshape your life.
I like this story very much so thought to share with you all.
Once upon a time, Guru Dronacharya saw Pandavas riding horses so he went to them and asked “ Why do you ride a horse? ” Upon seeing their guru, Pandavas stopped their houses and greeted their Guru.
Guru Dronacharya asked to Sahadev first. Sahadev said, “I ride my horse because it is easier to carry the sack of vegetables. It does not hurt my back when I carry it on the horse.” Guru smiled and said “ You are a smart boy. Your back won’t be hunched like mine when you grow old.”
Bheem said, “When I ride my horse , I like to look at nature like trees, fields, mountains, seas during my journey.” Again the Guru smiled and said , Your eyes are open and you see the world.
Nakul Said, “ When I ride horse, I’m living in harmony with other living beings and things.” Guru smiled and said “ You are riding on the Golden Path to no-harming.”
Guru asked Yudhishthir, He mentioned it is easier for him to do prayer and meditation while riding his horse. Guru Smiled and said “ Your mind will open up and run like well-tuned wheel.
In Last Guru Dronacharya asked Arjun, Arjun mentioned, “ Guru ji, I ride my horse to ride my horse”. Guru Dronacharya was extremely happy and said your answer is best. You are honest to yourself and others. And you do things because you want to do it.
Nobody needs a reason to do what they like doing.
Wish you all a passionate, successful, thought provoking year ahead. Happy New Year 2020.
