The Purpose of Competent Scheduling

Introduction

Contrary to popular belief and acceptance, Scheduling was not created to become a crude art form. If that’s what you want to believe, then you’ll need to obtain an easel, a stretched canvas, oil or acrylic paint, brushes, and spatulas, and then learn some skills to produce better artwork than simple horizontal lines.

A scheduling program’s primary purpose is to provide a record format of the future of a project or program, including its exact status at any time, the costs expended to date, what the future price will be, and the facts of completion dates. It produces reliable reports only when operated by competent persons utilizing competent information.

I am utilizing this opportunity to fuss at many people who have been getting and expecting it wrong all along. This people number includes “Would-be Schedulers, Owners, and all others who expect and/or just accept Gantt lines on a page as a schedule.”? This disrespects our profession, not unlike someone imitating a medical professional or a police officer. All have been lucky not to be prosecuted, like an imitator of these other professionals would yield for you.

I know, some will say, there is no other way to learn. The world was enamored with the functionality of P6, Primavera Professional, so long that they couldn’t see past the end of their noses. Today, I’m here to clear the historic fog of misunderstanding and receivership of much less than correct.

Perhaps some of this misunderstanding was my own doing. I’d said in my resume that I can make estimates up to one trillion dollars. So, let me clarify this for all to understand. This statement might have been taken out of context. What I mean by this is that Microsoft Project Professional is only limited to one trillion per Schedule. This means the program is accurate to any value of up to one trillion and has the functionality through human input by an expert to capture the exact costs of any size project.????

The software’s Power/Functionality

Here we are, in the second and third decades of the 21st Century, and MS.P.P. Microsoft Project Professional is a super functional program designed to serve the complete needs of any business, city, county, or state. Since it was designed to work with and utilize the full functionality of Windows, the NOTES in each of the.

How Powerful is Microsoft Project Professional?

?Four hundred thousand tasks and 700,000 resources will open MS Word or MS Excel. Then, some will ask if there is any advantage to this. This 150+I.Q. will explain now. Word for Windows 11 is 5,000 Pages per file. In a test I performed, there are 56 lines per page, so 56 x 5,000 = 280,000 items per file that can be stored as hyperlinks, and if all these notes were word files, we have 280,000 x(400,000 +700,000) =112,000,000,000 hyperlinks. And, if we use Excel, with enough RAM (400,000+700,000) = 1,100,000 workbooks. Once we open one hyperlink, additional hyperlinks on the newly opened become useful. The Excel workbooks on this computer are 18 pages per workbook, and Excel for Windows 11 has 36,000 hyperlinks per workbook worksheet page. So, 18 x (1,100,000 x 36,000) =396,000,000,000, three ninety-six billion documents, and we can do the same with additional ones. Always remember that this author keeps four terabytes plugged into this computer.

That was a lot of verbiage concerning hyperlinks. With a P.C.T. Project Control Team, consultants do not need to make C.S.V.s, document Control, or even a P.M. when all aspects of the project are controlled electronically.

How Functional is Microsoft Project Professional?

1. ?Within the hands of an expert, exact percentages of completion of any/all crafts in an electronic PowerPoint file are generatable at any time.
