"Purpose"; is the capsule you need when you work with Governments and developmental issues.

I have worked for more than 16 years. Among all the motivation factors, I have finally concluded that 'Purpose' is the only medicine we need when working with Governments and developmental issues. You need help to sustain and contribute effectively when working with developmental problems, especially with the Government.?

Primarily when we work on a co-creation project with the Governments, which I have done all my life, the purpose is the single most crucial variable regarding what makes people happy in the workplace. That's right - having a clear goal is the difference between feeling fulfilled and like something's missing. When we work very closely with the Governments, we feel strong emotions of empathy for officers working in the system because they deal with the most complex and messy issues.??

The priority changes every day, and it is effortless to lose focus, especially when you understand that business as usual will not help to solve complex issues like the universal acquisition of Foundational learning skills by more than 1.6 million young learners or the adoption and usage of a structured pedagogy approach by more than 0.1 million Teachers or for that matter Universal Healthcare coverage for more than 31 million population of Assam. Moreover, the goal itself is challenging because, at the heart of the issue, you have to propel change in the system and the scale. All these can quickly cause frustration and can make you feel demotivated.??

We must keep nudging the system constantly and regularly for an action to be taken, whether a policy decision or the implementation game. Working with Governments {people, officers, bureaucrats, lawmakers ( elected representatives ), and politicians} and Governance (processes) can be highly challenging as well as it can be rewarding.?

Sometimes, even the cognitive horsepower will not be able to convince you to pursue it again. After some attempts, the officer can be unpersuadable.??

But think about it - when you have a purpose you can believe in, you become empowered to push your boundaries and try to make an impact. The goal can help you persuade the unpersuadable. The action can help move the delta toward making learning a joyful experience for more than 1.6 million young children. Children become happy when they understand what they are taught in a joyful environment. Once a child understands what is being taught, he starts contributing to the process. Your purpose is more than just a job title or career path. It's an internal drive that comes from within, so it doesn't matter if you run a start-up or work in an international corporation. When you focus on purpose over everything else, amazing things happen. A strong sense of purpose increases our job satisfaction and helps us become more engaged and productive in our work. A purpose-driven Individual can create an environment of collaboration, creativity, and innovation. Working in the development sector requires much dedication, but it can be incredibly rewarding when that dedication is driven by purpose.

The importance of having a purpose in life cannot be overstated. The more you know what your goal is, the more you will be able to manifest it daily. Having a purpose gives us the energy to focus on what we need to do and the motivation to keep going no matter what. We can also be excited and delighted by our progress toward our goal. So if you are working or want to work in the development sector, it is essential to connect to the greater orbit, the purpose of the mission, so that you can be productive and make a sustainable change.?
