CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
BULB PRICES TO INCREASE THIS FRIDAY-
NOTICE:
Because of the Coronavirus, the cost of replacement light bulbs for coating with the Pure-Light SUPER-OXYGEN Technology is expected to rise dramatically in the next few weeks...IF we can get any replacement bulbs at all. 90% of LED bulbs are manufactured in China and China has pretty much stopped all production and shipping. (Example, currently it is reported that there are NO cargo ships from China on the ocean. The last one docked last Wednesday.)
--THEREFORE,
the price of PLT bulbs will increase on Friday, March 6 so we can afford to replace our stock of bulbs.
We are getting lots of requests concerning the Coronavirus global outbreak and the possible effectiveness of the Pure-Light Super-Oxygen technology in reducing it or killing it on surfaces and in the air with Pure-Light light bulbs and surface coatings. Therefore:
IS PURE-LIGHT EFFECTIVE AGAINST KILLING OR REDUCING CORONAVIRUS IN THE ENVIRONMENT?
Answer: A very high Probable, YES
REPEATEDLY, The Pure-Light Super-Oxygen light bulbs, and surface coating technology... have shown the ability to kill ALL harmful viruses and bacteria that it has been tested against within hours on surfaces and in the air within 10 ft of the bulb and a coated surface when exposed to a light source, with the PLT bulbs actually being the light source. Hundreds of studies on the technology behind the Pure-Light bulbs demonstrate this over and over again.
The reason for PLT technology being so effective against all harmful viruses and bacteria is because of the Super-Oxygen oxidation and cell lysing effect on viruses and bacteria of the lower order. In other words, the Super-Oxygen molecules are attracted to specifically lower-class viruses and bacteria and destroy their cellular walls.
While Pure-Light technology has not been tested against the actual Coronavirus, it is a relatively new virus, The Coronavirus is a type of SARS virus and specifically, the technology behind Pure-Light was successfully tested against the SARS virus. To quote the reference:
Photocatalytic oxidation can also inactivate infectious microorganisms which can be airborne bioterrorism weapons, such as Bacillus anthracis (Anthrax) [46–48]. A photocatalytic system was investigated by Knight in 2003 to reduce the spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) on flights [49], following the outbreak of the disease. Similarly, in 2007 the avian influenza virus A/H5N2 was shown to be inactivated from the gaseous phase using a photocatalytic prototype system [39].

"I tried pure-light after purchasing a fixer-upper that had some old musty smell in the house. I decided to put this to the test and see how well it actually works, so I got 4 of the light bulbs.
I put one in a regular hallway, one in a room that we use for storage of tools and the dog sleeps in there, one room that has a mildew smell and I decided to put one in the basement to really give it a run for its money.
It is hard to determine smell because no one ever takes notice when the smell is gone, only if there is a smell or not. In the hallway, I can honestly say that I did not notice a difference. in the tool/dog room, I didn't realize a difference until I remembered the bulb I put in previously. There was no dog smell and no workroom smell. I checked out the other rooms, and there was no mildew smell and the basement didn't have a smell either. That is quite an accomplishment because if you look at the pictures you can just imagine what the smell was previously. If you can't see the pictures, imagine a typical dungeon-like basement grandma used in WWII and now uses as a potato cellar, and that is what it smelled like BEFORE I put the bulbs in. After there was no smell. Now, these bulbs have drawbacks too. I did notice in the basement and the dog/tool room that if the bulbs are not turned on for a significant amount of time every day, the smell does come back. So it is not a "use once and solve everything" system. This obviously wasn't very scientific. The smell is a hard thing to measure. But my observations seem to back up what they claim their bulbs do. They give off light and remove smells from the air."
