Pure Flix Acquires Candy Cain’s “Joy & Hope” for the 2020 Holiday Season
Gemelli Films Incorporated announces November 1st streaming release date for the Christmas feature “Joy & Hope” to Pure Flix, the No. 1 indie faith and family film studio.
“Joy & Hope” stars Cody Calafiore (Big Brother), Ashley Brinkman (The Malibu Tapes), Alix Kermes (Gilmore Girls), Andrew Rogers (The Wrong Wedding Planner) and Stink Fisher (Gotham). Co-stars include female powerhouses Vivica A. Fox (Independence Day), Abigail Hawk (Blue Bloods) and Andrea Evans (One Life to Live).
This romantic drama tells the story of Ethan Dulane (Rogers), a novelist with writers’ block, who is sent by his publisher Amanda Parkington (Fox) to the Two Sisters Ranch in Upstate New York. There, he meets sisters Joy and Hope McGregor (Kermes and Brinkman, respectively), who run the ranch with their father Frank (Stink Fisher, Gotham) and reliable ranch hand Gabe (Calafiore).
In due course, sparks fly between Ethan and Joy while Gabe and Hope finally admit their love for one another, healing from a traumatic event years ago. Of course, Ethan discovers the inspiration he needs for his book all the while the sparks between him and Joy burn into a fire.
“I am very excited that Pure Flix will be featuring ‘Joy & Hope’ around the holiday,” says star Vivica A. Fox. “I look forward to sharing our story with their audience and hope this is the first of many more to come.”
“Pure Flix is such a terrific partner for our film ‘Joy & Hope,’ as well as our other projects,” agrees writer/director Candy Cain. “Gemelli Films and Pure Flix share the common mission to create and distribute wholesome, inspirational content to audiences. We look forward to continuing to work together on many more releases.”
