- Oversee and efficiently manage the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to optimise stock management, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and ensure seamless operations.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and monitoring their performance.
- Implement and refine procurement systems, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate spare-parts sales activities, delivering exceptional customer service and support to our valued clients.
- Stay abreast of market trends and industry developments, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production schedules and ensure the timely availability of materials and parts.
- Maintain meticulous records, generate comprehensive reports, and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes.
Key Skills / Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Strong negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to secure favourable terms and pricing agreements.
- Proficiency in utilising procurement software and systems.
- Attentive to detail, with excellent analytical abilities for data evaluation and identification of improvement opportunities.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, along with relevant laws and regulations.
