Punjab Traffic Police Grants Highest Number Of Licenses Ever

As per the reports, last month, the Punjab Traffic Police issued an impressive 234,000 driving licenses across the province, marking a significant milestone in ensuring road safety.

Among these, a notable 70,000 individuals availed the convenience of online application processes for their licenses, indicating a positive trend towards embracing digital solutions.

Despite this progress, the enforcement of driving regulations remains a priority, with over 972,000 drivers fined for various traffic violations. Among these penalties, over 46,000 were issued to motorcyclists for riding without helmets, emphasizing the importance of protective gear.

Furthermore, authorities addressed the issue of unlicensed and underage drivers by issuing more than 180,000 challans. Lane discipline and overloading were also targeted, with fines imposed on over 230,000 vehicles for violations.

How To Give Driving Test in Punjab

Taking this initiative further, Lahore Traffic Police (LTP) has released a video offering tips for passing the driving license test to the public. In the video, a police official shares key insights on what to avoid during the test through simple steps.

The Guide

Before starting the test, ensure:

  • Proper seat adjustment
  • Fastening of seat belt
  • Setting of side view mirrors

The most challenging aspect of the driving test is reversing, and to succeed in this, the official advises keeping the car on the passenger side. The officer explains, “If you reverse the car with it positioned on the driver’s side, it will collide with the cones.”

An advantage is given to candidates who make mistakes during the test. “If you encounter difficulty while reversing, you will be granted one opportunity to drive forward and then reverse again, positioning the car on the left side of the track,” the officer assures.

By adhering to these simple guidelines, passing the driving test in Punjab becomes achievable. Hence, it’s advisable to apply for your driving license, obtain it, and avoid hefty fines and legal consequences.
