Pumpkin Spice Latte. (The Cocktail!)

Today, we are going to look at a Pumpkin Spice Latte.

It's fall (autumn), time to get festive and cozy.

Let’s be clear - this is not a nice festive coffee - Sip & Stir Chronicles is a cocktail blog .

This is a distant autumnal cousin of the espresso martini.



Let's start with some ingredients:

  • 1 oz Dark rum
  • 1 oz Kahlua
  • 1/2 oz Baileys
  • 2oz espresso
  • 2tsp Pumpkin Spice syrup
  • 2 oz Milk


What Glass should I use,…

  • Martini
  • Stemless Martini
  • Rocks


What hardware do I need?

  • Mixing glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Strainer
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Milk frother


Ice

Large ice for the mixing glass

A large cube or sphere if you use a rocks glass.


Garnish

Cinnamon stick,

Pumpkin Spice


Directions - Let's do this; let's make a drink!


If you have a milk frothing machine - set the milk going, if you have a manul / hand held milk frother we will do that when we haev a spare hand.


Place a large Ice cube in the micing glass and add The Rum, Baileys, Kahlua, Syrup and the Espresso.

Mix these around with your bar spoon until the mixture is chilled. Strain into an empty glass.


If you didnt already forth the milk, do that now, after that if you have use da rocks glass add a large ice cube.


Pour the frothed milk slowly over the cocktail. Very gently lay your cinnamon stick wither over the glass or on top of the foam.


Finally, sprinkle some pumpkin spice through the fine mesh strainer - over the foam.

Tips

You can alter the amount of pumpkin spice sytrup, to taste.

Use 1 part Pumpkin Spice 1 part Salted Carmel for a different note.

You can definitely sub vodka for the Dark Rum.
