?

?

On February 9, 2023, Puma reported its key accomplishments and discoveries made at its Williams Brook Gold Project in 2022. Puma also presented its 2023 Exploration Program that should include expansion and scout drilling as well as extensive trenching. Puma proved, through 2022 drilling, the continuity of high-grade gold mineralization at the Lynx Gold Zone over a length of 750m along strike, a width of 7 m and a depth of 100m. Saliently, the Lynx Gold Zone (LGZ) remains open for expansion with a series of high-grade gold shoots that plunge 25° to the NE. Puma completed a preliminary metallurgical test on samples drilled in 2021 that returned 92% gold recovery by gravity alone and up to 99.7% by floatation with minimal cyanidation. Puma also excavated >112 trenches spanning 17.1 km and collected >2,629 grab samples. Of note is the discovery by Puma of 3 other gold zones kilometres away from Lynx Gold Zone confirming the potential for district scale a gold camp at Williams Brook. ?Puma has now secured 100% ownership of more than 49,000ha of prospective land in northern New Brunswick and made significant discoveries with <$10M expensed.

Continuing the match plan: The 2023 development plan is to focus on continued growth. At Lynx, 3,000m of exploratory drilling down to ~200m shall confirm at depth the higher-grade mineralized intercepts identified. This initial winter drilling program is scheduled to begin shortly and is designed to identify the best gold zones to drill at depth for a follow-up summer/fall drilling program. Additionally, 3,000m of step-out drilling shall focus on the expansion of the LGZ to the NE along a 3km corridor. Grab samples collected during the 2022 exploration program confirmed the NE extension of the favourable contact and identified drilling targets for the upcoming program. Mineralization at the Lynx Gold Zone occurs as higher-grade gold veins of varying width within a lower-grade envelope. In consultation with industry experts, Puma has elected to conduct a bulk sample at the LGZ in 2023. The test shall provide the average grade of the mineralization and the flow sheet for gold recovery in preparation for a resource estimation. The application for a 4,000t bulk sample has already been submitted.

Expanding footprint: Following the drilling success at Lynx, Puma shall continue to apply its successful low-cost discovery model to other parts of the property. Expanded surface work shall be conducted at the Jaguar (“JGZ”), Cougar (“CGZ”) and Panthera (“PGZ”) Gold Zones to identify future drilling targets. Grab samples collected from the last trenching program at Jaguar and Cougar confirm the gold potential of the areas. A petrographic study is currently in progress to assess the similarity between gold mineralization at the JGZ and LGZ. Finally, Puma Exploration continues to seek new opportunities in New Brunswick and is committed to being a leader in mineral exploration in the province. Though its DEAR strategy (Development, Exploration, Acquisition and Royalties), Puma remains focused on generating maximum value for shareholders with low share dilution.

?

Marcel Robillard, President and CEO of Puma, stated: “In only 2 years, we have identified 4 separate high-grade gold zones at surface with significant room for expansion in one of the best jurisdictions in Canada. We’ve grown Puma’s market cap from C$5M to C$30M with only C$7M of exploration investment. Our tried and true exploration methodology has shown that the mineralization at the Lynx Gold Zone extends 750 m along trend and to a depth of about 100 m, and is open both laterally and at depth. Our 2022 discoveries, the Jaguar, Cougar and Panthera Gold Zones likely represent additional gold areas on our large land package. The potential of the Williams Brook property is significant and we will continue to add gold discoveries to its inventory as we work towards defining a resource at Lynx.”

UPDATE: February 16, 2023

Puma Exploration adds silver exposure to its assets in northern New Brunswick

?

On February 16, 2023, Puma announced that it has entered into a property agreement to add silver exposure to its current precious metals’ assets in northern New Brunswick. The new acquisition of the Brunswick Au-Ag Property, adds an additional 454 claims (10,554ha) to Puma’s extensive landholdings in New Brunswick. Puma’s acreage now totals 60,554ha as over the past 2 years, Puma has consolidated a patchwork of mining claims held by different landowners through a series of separate transactions. Most mining claims have seen little to no modern exploration work and have never been explored as a major unique land package. To earn a 100% undivided interest in the Brunswick Au-Ag Property, Puma shall make total payments of cash, shares and work commitment of $405,000 in the next 4 years. Additional performance payments total $175,000 in relation to a PEA, feasibility study and attainment of commercial production. The seller shall retain a 2% NSR royalty (which 50% may be purchased 50for $1M at any time.

?

Well located Brunswick Au-Ag Property: The Brunswick Au-Ag property has grab samples grading up to 1,300 g/t Ag and 2.42 g/t Au and is strategically located proximal to 2 renowned base metals mines. Contiguous to the new property, the Brunswick #12 Mine operated from 1964 to 2013 and produced ~449M oz Ag. Only 2km away, the Brunswick #6 Mine operated from 1966 to 1983 and produced ~261M oz Ag. Initial prospection and sampling conducted on the property by a local prospector in 2022 confirmed the presence of high-grade silver and gold mineralization in a Devonian felsic intrusion. Only limited fieldwork has been conducted on the intrusive rock as most of the effort was directed historically to the known Bathurst #12 horizon to chase VMS deposits. A small trenching operation conducted in 2022 returned high-grade samples along a 125 m-long zone with up to 661 g/t Ag, 0.48 g/t Au within the felsic intrusive rock, close to the contact with metasediments. Puma is currently compiling data to evaluate the property's potential and to define exploration targets for the upcoming summer program. Puma’s main focus remains the Williams Brook Property, where a winter drilling program shall begin shortly.

?

Marcel Robillard, President and CEO, stated: “With this acquisition, we seized the opportunity to add significant exposure to silver and increase the number of prospective targets for gold exploration on our already large holdings in Northern New Brunswick. The new claims are next to the historical Brunswick #12 and #6 mines that produced more than 700 M Oz Ag combined*. Recent prospecting work completed on the claims returned not only exceptional silver grades but also significant gold mineralization. This is a compelling reason for us to investigate this area further. The property has seen very little exploration work to date, and our team is excited to test its potential for precious and strategic metals”.

UPDATE: February 23, 2023

?

Puma Exploration strategically increases its land holdings at the Williams Brook Gold Project

On February 23, 2023, Puma reported that it has staked an additional 105 claims (2,300ha) contiguous to the NW of its Williams Brook South Property. The Williams Brook South Property now totals 8,290ha. The newly staked claims have seen very little exploration in the past and they are hence considered highly prospective for gold mineralization as they exhibit the same geology as the Lynx Gold Zone further to the NNE.

Puma has strategically increased its total land holdings at the Williams Brook Gold Project in Northern New Brunswick: Puma with its Williams Brook Gold Project, which includes the flagship Williams Brook property, as well as the Williams Brook South, Jonpol, Portage, and Jacquet River properties, now controls almost over 63,000ha. The Williams Brook Gold Project has paved roads access and infrastructure nearby. The new claims of the Williams Brook South Property host felsic volcanic units in contact with sediments similar to the rocks that host the Lynx Gold Zone. We understand that very little fieldwork has ever been conducted on the new claims and Puma shall proceed with detailed data compilation before applying its successful exploration method to the area. Recall since 2021, Puma has confirmed 4 significant gold discoveries at Williams Brook, with high-grade gold mineralization hosted in quartz veins at surface at the Lynx (LGZ), Cougar (CGZ), Jaguar (JGZ) and Panthera (PGZ) Zones. Overall, an aggressive exploration program is planned for 2023, including a minimum of 6,000m of diamond drilling and a potential 4,000t bulk sample.

Marcel Robillard, President and CEO of Puma Exploration stated: "These new land additions further consolidate our extensive ground position and increase our overall footprint in Northern New Brunswick. Puma now controls 100% of 50,000 ha of highly prospective and underexplored assets in what is now recognized as an emerging Gold District. We are committed to building a gold camp at Williams Brook project, and we'll continue to seize every opportunity to acquire ground that could increase our gold inventory". Puma remains committed to deploying its DEAR strategy (Development, Exploration, Acquisition and Royalties) to generate maximum value for its shareholders and become a premier New Brunswick focused explorer.

UPDATE: February 28, 2023

Puma Exploration receives approval for a 4,000 T bulk sample at Lynx Zone and welcomes Dr. Simon Dominy to its advisory committee

?

Puma announced on February 28, 2023. that it has received from New Brunswick’s Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development, the authorization to proceed with a 4,000 tonnes bulk sample at the Lynx Gold Zone (“LGZ”) at its 100%-owned Williams Brook Gold Project. Puma’s flagship Williams Brook Gold Project covers more than 50,000ha in Northern New Brunswick, an established and mining-friendly jurisdiction with pro-mining policies, near paved roads and with excellent infrastructure nearby.

Expertise retained: Dr. Simon Dominy, an expert in the design and implementation of bulk sampling programs, shall join Puma’s advisory team to supervise the Puma’s Bulk Sampling Program (“BSP”) to ensure proper planning and success. Dr. Simon Dominy is a mining professional whose career has included technical and leadership roles in mine operations, academia, and consulting. He is particularly interested in the application of geometallurgy and has expertise in the evaluation and exploitation of various gold orebody styles. He has developed skills in ore characterization; design and implementation of bulk sampling/trial mining programmes; evaluation of high-nugget effect/coarse-gold deposits; and narrow vein/highly selective mining methods. Dr Dominy has been active in developing and operating several gold projects in Australia, Europe, and South America. He has extensive experience as a Qualified Person/Competent Person in various jurisdictions and across a number of gold deposit types (recent projects have included: the evaluation of high-nugget effect conglomerate gold mineralization; optimization of small high-grade deposits with emphasis on evaluation, selective mining approaches, flexible processing options, and ore control; characterization of gold ores to determine sampling parameters; sampling protocol optimization; geometallurgical characterization (grade, metallurgical and geoenvironmental); and implementation of strategic and tactical geometallurgy). He is a Principal Advisor/QP with Novo Resources Corporation; Director of Artemis Resources Ltd; and Group Technical Lead with private entity OCX Gold SA.

Bulk sampling and implementing it early on: Bulk samples are undertaken to de-risk a project by verifying local grade estimates and metallurgical test work from drill holes and/or channel samples. They also explore the scale-up potential and metallurgical responses and provide geological and geotechnical information on the extraction area. The high-grade gold mineralization at Lynx is not totally homogeneous but rather exhibits some “nugget effect”. Puma’s fully permitted 4,000 tonnes bulk sample (BSP) shall be collected from several different areas at the LGZ to better characterize the zone's mineralization and potential local average gold grade. The bulk sample is considered an exploration tool to be conducted in parallel with the upcoming planned 3,000m drilling program which shall commence shortly and target the high-grade gold shoots. To ensure the success of the BSP, Puma shall:

i.???????????????Evaluate the results of the current advanced recovery tests from 3,000 kg of quartz-vein material sent to RPC in Fredericton. Recall on November 15, 2022, Puma had reported that it launched a significant metallurgical study following excellent results from a preliminary metallurgical test conducted in summer 2022, with recovery of up to 99.7% Au (range of 98.7% to 99.7%) from samples drilled in 2021 at the Lynx Gold Zone (“LGZ”) (see: ?https://www.dhirubhai.net/posts/eric-lemieux-9468715_newbrunswick-lynx-gold-activity-6998447738304569344-Wuv0?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop);

?

ii.???????????????Determine if the LGZ is potentially acid generating (recall, initial observations are LGZ samples contain negligible arsenic and sulfur; recovery requires little cyanide and simple gravity, using only a bench scale Knelson concentrator, recovered 92% gold); ?

?

iii.???????????????Define more precisely the flowsheet for optimal gold recovery;

?

iv.???????????????Complete a cost/benefit and risk evaluation of on-site pilot plants vs toll milling; and

?

v.???????????????Prepare the site with field work commencing as soon as the snow melts.

?

Bulk sampling allows to investigate the metallurgical properties of a deposit and retrieve critical information that cannot be gathered by drilling alone. It can help determine the most optimal milling methods and flow sheet design for a potential mining operation. Bulk sampling assesses whether a prospective deposit would be both feasible and profitable to mine and is an effective exploration tool to de-risk a gold exploration project.

No alt text provided for this image

?

Marcel Robillard, President, and CEO stated: “The 12,000 m we’ve drilled at the Lynx Gold Zone returned impressive grades, but we’d have to drill hundreds of thousands of metres to gain some certainty on the average grade of the zone. By running the bulk sample this year, we can get a better representation of the local grade around the sampling site and how it reconciles with the drilling’s predicted grade. This outside-the-box thinking will place Puma well ahead of our industry’s typical exploration timeline and be a key milestone in the advancement of the Williams Brook Gold Project. The bulk sample will also move us closer to demonstrating whether we can potentially have a profitable mining operation at Williams Brook. If we can extract the gold on-site with gravity alone, we can significantly cut costs, reduce the environmental impact and streamline permitting. This would be a fantastic outcome for all stakeholders, the future of mining in New Brunswick, and our shareholders”.

UPDATE: March 30, 2023

Puma Exploration reports assay results from Fall 2022 HQ drilling and confirms non-acid generating rock at the Lynx Gold Zone

?

On March 30, 2023, Puma announced drill hole assay results as part of expanded metallurgical studies and that static acid base accounting and total sulphur testing determined that the rock is non-acid-generating.?Results up to 12.03 g/t Au over 1.50m in short (from 6 to 18 m depth) HQ size holes drilled last fall at the Lynx Gold Zone (“LGZ”) on the Williams Brook Project in New Brunswick. Sampling of the quartz veins and the host rock was undertaken to corroborate the gold results of grab samples collected during surface exploration, verify their acid-generating potential, identify any negative implications of an open pit operation and provide valuable information for planning the upcoming bulk sample.

?

More dataset points: The 8 HQ holes (for a total of 102m) were drilled on 3 main quartz veins, targeted both high- and low-grade veins and were drilled as part of an expanded metallurgical test announced on November 15, 2022 (see: https://www.dhirubhai.net/posts/eric-lemieux-9468715_newbrunswick-lynx-gold-activity-6998447738304569344-Wuv0?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop). The expanded metallurgical test was conducted to i) better define the gold mineralization found at surface (within the first 10m) at the LGZ, ii) identify opportunities and potential challenges for gold recovery and iii) help design the flowsheet (recipe) for processing the upcoming bulk sample. Consistent with results to date, the gold grades of the outcropping quartz veins assayed in the drill core reflect the gold grades from grab samples collected at surface as shown in holes WB22-114 with 3.05 g/t Au over 6m (including 25.2 g/t Au over 0.45m), WB22-118 with 2.52 g/t Au over 10m (including 19.65 g/t Au over 0.9m) and WB22-117 with 1.23 g/t over 10m (including 7.99 over 0.9m). We estimate the average grade x thickness for 6 of the reported holes at 10.97 g/t Au x m. Test work on 300 kg of material collected on each of the 12 main quartz veins (3,300 kg total) at the LGZ is pending and shall be released in the coming weeks.

?

Non-acid-generating rock: Static Acid Base Accounting and Total Sulphur testing also determined that the rock is non acid generating. As acid mine drainage (“AMD”) is a major environmental concern for mining operations, Puma has elected to determine if weathering/oxidation of rock produces acid. Research & Productivity Council (RPC) tested 33 selected samples from the HQ holes drilled on the surface veins and on another 2 holes drilled in 2022 that intercepted the sediment hanging wall.?All samples were subjected to static Acid Base Accounting (ABA) test work. None were found to be potentially acid-producing. In addition, the total sulphur content in all samples was either very low or below the detection limit of 0.005%. The ratio between Neutralizing Potential and Acid Production Potential along with the Total Sulphur results indicate that none of the 33 submitted samples were acid-producing and hence susceptible to create AMD.

?

Marcel Robillard, President and CEO of Puma Exploration stated: “These preliminary results from our expanded metallurgical test are very positive. Our gold-bearing quartz veins contain almost no sulphide or arsenic. Bulk sampling and potential mining would therefore be non-acid-generating. These results are significant as they enable us to further de-risk a potential mining operation at the Lynx Gold Zone”.

UPDATE: May 29, 2023

Puma Exploration focused on building a gold camp at its Williams Brook Gold Project, New Brunswick

?

On May 25, 2023, Puma announced its 2023 exploration strategy and objectives at its 100%-owned Williams Brook Gold Project in Northern New Brunswick, Atlantic Canada. Puma aims to build gold ounces inventory at the Lynx Gold Zone (“LGZ”) and increase the gold discovery endowment of the extensive >40,000 ha property land package. Puma’s flagship Williams Brook Gold Project comprises 6 claims blocks covering more than 44,650 ha in Northern New Brunswick, an established and mining-friendly jurisdiction. The Williams Brook Gold Project is very well located with excellent infrastructure, access (proximal to the main highway), thus truly facilitating exploration. The nearby towns of St-Quentin and Bathurst have a history of forestry and mining and the local communities host a skilled labour force and generally support the natural resources industry. The land package is located near the Rocky Brook Millstream Fault (“RBMF”), a major regional structure formed during the Appalachian Orogeny and a significant control for gold deposition in the region. A large orogenic/epithermal gold system appears present at Williams Brook.

Setting stage for advancement: Puma has a long history in Northern New Brunswick having worked on projects in the region for more than 15 years. As a first mover, Puma can quickly and strategically accumulate land position and has now assembled an impressive 60,554 ha land package of prospective gold landholdings. Puma’s successful exploration methodology combines old prospection methods with detailed trenching to facilitate an understanding of the geology and related mineralized systems with up-to-date technology, such as Artificial Intelligence (“AI”). With excellent geophysical surveys, geochemical data and consultants’ expertise, Puma has developed a perfect low-cost exploration tool to discover gold at shallow depths and maximize drilling results. Since 2021, and with only $7M of exploration investment, Puma has made up to 4 significant gold discoveries at the Williams Brook property – the i) Lynx, ii) Cougar, iii) Jaguar and iv) Panthera Gold Zones, with gold mineralization hosted in quartz veins at surface. The Lynx Gold Zone remains Puma’s focus.

No alt text provided for this image

The 2023 Exploration Program- moving forward on Lynx: Since 2021, Puma has systematically drilled 13,100 m at the LGZ to target gold-bearing quartz veins found at the contact between rhyolite and sediments. A gold zone has now been defined ~750 m along strike, ~75 m wide and to a depth of ~150 m. Recent data compilation identified 3 main areas of gold enrichment with several potential high-grade gold shoots that plunge 25 degrees NE. The 2023 drilling program shall prioritize the extension of these high-grade gold shoots at depth and define the geometry of several high-grade gold veins containing disseminated sulphides with associated pathfinders (Ag-Bi-Cu-Pb-Sb-Te-Zn) for gold mineralization. Nearly 70% of Puma’s exploration budget shall be allocated at the Lynx Gold Zone (“LGZ”), wherein 2021, 5.55 g/t Au over 50.15 m was intersected from surface, including 2 main high-grade intercepts of 9.88 g/t Au over 8.60 m and 46.94 g/t Au over 3.85 m. Additional drill holes shall target the lateral extension of the Lynx Gold Zone (LGZ) for ~3 km along strike towards the NE. In 2022, trenching operations discovered additional gold mineralization at the favourable contact. Those areas are currently being trenched and stripped to identify priority drilling targets and prepare the drill set-up. Additional planned work includes drilling >2,500 m to extend gold mineralization to ~200 m depth; extending the current stripping over selected, high-grade gold veins at surface; drilling >2,500 m of step-out drilling along the 3 km NE extension of the LGZ; continue to advance the metallurgical study and evaluate the bulk sample as well as launch baseline environmental surveys. Puma has received all work permits, including drilling permits, for its planned 2023 exploration programs.

?

Building a gold camp: ?The remaining 30% of the budget shall be directed on priority targets to identify new gold deposits on the entire 44,650-ha property package. The Williams Brook Gold Project has significant potential beyond the currently defined Lynx Gold Zone as 3 other gold zones (the Jaguar (“JGZ”), Cougar (“CGZ”) and Panthera (“PGZ) Gold Zones) have been identified at Williams Brook. ?Expanded stripping and trenching programs on previously identified gold occurrences shall be undertaken to identify future drilling targets. Puma shall also apply its low-cost discovery method to the other sectors that comprise the Williams Brook Gold Project to identify other areas that could contribute to its overall gold endowment. A field crew, deployed since the first week of May, continues to advance surface exploration at Jonpol. Regional sampling results shall be announced when received.

On June 21, 2023, Puma reported results from its ongoing 2023 exploration program at its 100%-owned Williams Brook Gold Project in northern New Brunswick, Canada. Grab samples on a new gold-bearing quartz vein at the Lynx Gold Zone (“LGZ”) graded up to 288 g/t Au and 35.2 g/t Au (Moose Ext area). Furthermore, additional trenching and detailed mapping conducted since the beginning of May 2023, identified a different dipping orientation for some quartz veins that were likely missed by previous maiden drilling. These new veins shall be prioritized for testing in the upcoming drilling program.

Refining geometry: In May 2023, additional trenching, mapping, and sampling were completed at the Lynx Gold Zone to refine the geological modelling of the favourable contact between the altered sediment and the rhyolite in preparation for the upcoming diamond drilling program. Along this corridor, high-grade gold mineralization appears to be hosted in quartz veins of varying widths (tens of metres to metres) that follow 3 main orientations: ~N260, ~N020 and ~N340. Over 40 samples were collected at the LGZ in quartz veins, altered rhyolite and altered sediment. A new gold quartz vein-oriented NE (~N020) was discovered and graded 288 g/t Au, 35.2 g/t Au, 2.78 g/t Au and 0.81 g/t Au. This vein, previously covered by overburden, to the NE of the Moose area, was missed in the 2022 drilling campaign because all veins were thought to be dipping NW. Since 2021, Puma has drilled 13,100 m at the LGZ to target gold-bearing quartz veins at the contact between rhyolite and sediments. A large gold zone has now been defined ~750 m along strike, ~75 m wide and to a depth of ~100 m which remains open. Data compilation identified 3 main areas of gold enrichment with several potential high-grade gold shoots that plunge 25 degrees NE. The 2023 drilling program, planned to commence very shortly, shall prioritize the extension of these high-grade gold shoots at depth and define the geometry of several high-grade gold veins containing disseminated sulphides with associated gold pathfinders (Ag-Bi-Cu-Pb-Sb-Te-Zn). In addition, step-out drilling along a 3km corridor to the NE shall investigate the extension of the LGZ gold mineralization along strike.

Large land package: The Williams Brook South Property now totals 44,650ha and is located near the Rocky Brook Millstream Fault (“RBMF”), a major regional structure formed during the Appalachian Orogeny. Puma has made 4 significant gold discoveries at the Williams Brook property - the Lynx, Cougar, Jaguar, and Panthera Gold Zones, with gold mineralization hosted in quartz veins at surface. Puma continues to interpret data and refine its geological model throughout the property package. Of note, the ongoing exploration program has not been impacted by forest fires and the technical team has full access to the entire land package.

?

Marcel Robillard, President, and CEO of Puma Exploration stated: “Understanding and modelling the Lynx Gold Zone is critical to unlocking the area’s full potential and building a gold camp at the Williams Brook Gold Project. Unlike many other exploration companies, we can gain incredibly valuable information through very low-cost surface exploration work because the gold-bearing veins we’re targeting start at surface. With only 13,000 metres of drilling, we’ve defined an area that spans 750 m along strike, is 75 m wide and 100 m deep. We know the LGZ is open at depth and 3 km along strike. Our upcoming 2023 drilling program will expand that zone, and our ongoing surface exploration work will ensure we maximize returns there and throughout the 46,000ha Williams Brook land package”.

?

Puma’s work continues to prove the presence of a potential large porphyry/epithermal gold system with pinch and swells at Williams Brook with the potential for multiple deposits on the large land package.
