Pulse went live!

I am ecstatic to be launching a new tool designed by VHRS.

As an HR consultancy, it is vital that we keep track of and do research on what the most effective tools are to serve our clients right, and we also have an underlying passion/duty for improving our industry.

VHRS focuses on talent retention strategies, as we see this as a key area for the successful running of any HR operation. Over the years, we have crafted a beautiful product to keep employees engaged and provide performance feedback. Our clients have been extremely receptive to this product and have reaped the benefits of it; we have seen a 100% client retention rate from inception.

Since 2017, we have been entertaining the idea of distributing this product through WhatsApp. However, at that time, the features required for the successful deployment of the tool were not yet developed, making the project rather hefty for a local HR consultancy.

Fast forward to 2023, and it only took one quarter to migrate our analog way of pulsing to WhatsApp. This is thanks to a world-class development team led by rather.chat , who saw the value in the product and understood that the channel to scale it was through conversational tech.

Pulse went live three weeks ago, and I got teary-eyed when I saw an extension of myself embodied in our WhatsApp bot, asking employees the same questions we've been asking on rudimentary forms in the past.

I also wanted to test it with people who have never been exposed to Pulse in the past, curious as to what the feedback was going to be. And I saw the same jaw-dropping effect I myself experienced, which reinforced the powerful effect this tool has.

In order to get the tool out there, marketing efforts are required, with an emphasis on the educational aspect of the tool.

Companies are not retaining talent because the real conversations are not being had between managers and their direct reports.

Managers are also not inclined to give honest feedback on a regular basis because this feels unnatural.
