L3Harris Technologies Announces Definitive Agreement to Sell its Commercial Aviation Solutions Business to TJC for US $800 Million

L3Harris Technologies announced the signing of a definitive agreement under which an affiliate of TJC L.P. will acquire L3Harris’ Commercial Aviation Solutions (CAS) business for US $800 million. The acquisition includes a US $700 million cash purchase price and US $100 million earnout. The CAS transaction includes the sale of L3Harris’ surveillance joint venture.

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, NTT DOCOMO, NTT Communications Corporation, and SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation announced they have formed a strategic collaboration with Amazon’s Project Kuiper. Leading global technology and business solutions provider will work with Amazon’s low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite broadband network to bring Japanese customers the flexibility, resiliency, and availability benefits of LEO communications technology. This is the first strategic collaboration Project Kuiper has announced in the Asia-Pacific region.

Tata Advanced Systems and Satellogic Sign Strategic Contract to Build LEO Satellites in India

Tata Advanced Systems and Satellogic announced their collaboration for establishing and developing local space technology capabilities in India. The project will commence with comprehensive training, knowledge transfer, and local assembly of optical sub-meter resolution EO satellites, the first of which is planned to be launched as TSAT-1A. The companies will collaborate on the development of a new satellite design and work together to integrate multiple payloads on a single satellite that will generate a diverse range of data over India.

Ursa Major closed US $138 million in its Series D and D-1 funding rounds. The investments were led by Explorer 1 Fund and Eclipse, and include RTX Ventures, funds and accounts managed by BlackRock, Exor Ventures, Mack & Co., LLC, XN, and other institutional shareholders. With this investment, Ursa Major will continue to develop Lynx, the company’s innovative new solid rocket motor (SRM) program, while scaling production capacity and advancing multiple propulsion programs.
