Announcing Melanie Hanna as Director of Interior Design for the Dallas Practice Site

We are excited to announce the addition of?Melanie N. Hanna as Director of Interior Design and Senior Associate, working out of BKV’s Dallas practice site. In this role, Hanna will support the firm’s continued growth, with a concentration in the Corporate/Commercial and Hospitality sectors both in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and across the Sun Belt, partnering with clients to create immersive environments reflective of their brands.?

Introducing The Marshall Redefined

One of our newest student living projects represents a full circle moment for BKV. In 2014,?BKV completed design of The Marshall, a series of interconnected buildings ranging from four to seven stories, surrounded by several landscaped, open-air plazas. In 2023, BKV returned to The Marshall to redefine the community for the modern-day student. Partnering with?Greystar, the exciting renovations transformed the 315+ apartments, in addition to the common areas, fitness spaces, and resident clubhouse.?

Congratulations to The Fred

This best-in-class community was the named the winner in the?Minnesota Real Estate Journal?Awards for best Suburban Multifamily South development. The Fred, aptly named, adjoins the beautiful Fred Richards Park in Edina, Minnesota, with the building bringing together resort-style living, “work from home” unit layouts, and access to nature, light, and views in a dynamic location in the heart of the metro.?

From Eyesore to Public Amenity: The Journey of Waterford Bay

Key to the transformation of the Mississippi River is Waterford Bay apartments which sits on land once home to the Island Station power plant, originally built in the 1920s and vacant the last 30 years of its life. With?Stoneleigh Companies,?BKV worked closely with the local group Friends of the Mississippi River, along with the National Park Service, which controls the surrounding Mississippi National River and Recreation Area, to create a kayak/small-boat launching area and a pair of bike paths, all open to the public.?
