Barstool Sports HQ Featured in Work Design Magazine

When our?Barstool Sports?client said their "new office is everything that we dreamed of and more," it allows us to appreciate how we could contribute to the brand’s overall growth and evolution as a multimedia sports and entertainment giant. For their new HQ in Chicago,?BKV Group?created an immersive and highly functional environment that invited staff to produce compelling media content while being themselves and having fun. Barstool had a clear vision of what it wanted for its new office in the city’s hip Fulton Market neighborhood, and the result is an un-office concept designed to be a “fun factory” for its talented and dynamic content creators.?

BD+C Showcases BKV's Innovations in the Multifamily Marketplace

Collectively, the 2023?Building Design+Construction Media?Multifamily Giants were responsible for more than half of all U.S. multifamily construction work in 2022, upwards of 60% of the U.S. market. The 120 design firms on the Giants list — which includes?BKV Group?— reported $28.34 billion in revenue from multifamily work, or about a quarter of all multifamily construction work last year. In representing a sizable footprint in the multifamily housing market, BKV was highlighted as a firm that is innovating to spur multifamily work forward, namely through our expertise with light gauge metal prefab construction. This construction type reduces construction time by 10-15% to help achieve a density of 300 units per acre at a lower cost per unit when compared to traditional construction techniques.?

Honoring Upper Post Flats

AIA Minnesota, the?Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission, and?Preserve Minneapolis celebrate the best in preservation, and today officially announced the 11 recipients of the 2024 Minneapolis Preservation Awards.?BKV Group, with our client?Dominium?and our project partners, were honored to receive the award for Historic Restoration, Rehabilitation, or Adaptive Reuse for our Upper Post Flats in St. Paul, Minnesota! This project restored and rehabilitated a diverse collection of 21 Fort Snelling buildings for reuse as affordable workforce housing with priority given to veterans and their families, while honoring the historic roots of the site. Mike Krych Authors “Equitable Riverfront Development” Article for Urban Land

Multiple scientific studies prove that living and spending time near oceans, lakes, ponds, and rivers have innumerate mental and physical benefits. For some people, the desire to reside close to water may be physiological, whereas for others, it’s simply a geographical choice. That said, it's challenging to find riverfront living opportunities in major U.S. metros to house new market-rate properties, let alone for an entirely affordable or mixed-income community. Thus, how can we make riverfronts more equitable and available to all socioeconomic levels? In?Urban Land Institute's Urban Land magazine, Senior Design Leader and Managing Partner,?Michael Krych, describes the multiple riverfont communities?BKV Group?has resourcefully designed across the county where the onsite development has an affordable housing component, is entirely affordable, or the surrounding lands are fully open and accessible for public use.?
