Puffin delivery celebrations as IOC rattles the clappers. The Lord Mayor caught his delivery! Alderman says, ‘Well done, great delivery IOC!'
Great success for Express final mile sector showcase to the City of London in the Lord Mayors Show. A clean air sector with zero and low emission on display to the world. Tens of thousands of IOC web visits this week. There was a big focus on the gallery photos and video of the Inst of Couriers entry into last weekends Lord Mayors Show. More photos of the brand entries got added through the week and social media buzz has added huge coverage. IOC rose to the request of the Lord Mayor and added carnival pageant, taken from the coat of arms of the Lord Mayor, a Puffin bird and a bagpiper adorned the IOC umbrellas and then stood there in real life to deliver.
Alderman Allison Gowman congratulated the IOC on a great delivery. The Puffin bird stood centre stage of Mansion house with ten sector brand leaders in a circle, each waving their own puffin glove for final mile of pageant. A further Puffin glove was delivered through the air in a final mile moment of flying Puffin. The Lord Mayor saluted, donning his tricorn-hat to the express sector for a delivery that presently sits in his Mansion House office.

Thanks came in from the ten brands walking with the zero emission truck float showcase, it was a life memory for many of the walkers who rattled the IOC clappers to a crowd of tens of thousands who lined the city square mile route. The truck laden with quadracyle, cargo bikes and electric scooters for delivery popped up in photos across a broad spectrum of media, both in the UK and Internationally.

The feeling of the walkers, in what was a difficult and challenging weekend was one of safety, IOC chair Carl Lomas thanked? City of London Police commander Umer Khan OBE who replied, ‘It reassures us that the countless hours of collective planning, preparation and the commitment to public safety clearly has had a meaningful impact.’
IOC CEO, Dr Tracey Worth spoke passionately, "This was an exceptional event to showcase the clean air delivery of our sector to the World. Delivering final mile express in front of the City of London, the UK audience and beyond. Express logistics is the clean air option for goods to door."
