This year’s Google Marketing Live showcased new AI features for Google ads, Search Generative Experience and more. In Google I/O, they gave us a glimpse of how ads will be displayed, but in Google Marketing Live they gave us an additional ad position in the AI-generated experience.?
Google Ads In Search Generative Experience
In the coming months, Google will try out Search and Shopping ads as part of AI-powered snapshot and conversational modes. So basically Google will show sponsored ads above, below, and as a part of the generative AI section.
New ad formats leveraging generative AI that show tailored ads will be experimented to give users a better browsing experience. For example, if someone searches for ‘sports to learn’ followed by ‘sports for kids’ and then ‘tennis’, a uniquely customized ad will be shown to users offering tennis classes for kids.??
Google has assured that advertisements will be highlighted with the sponsored label. Since this is an experiment, advertisers will not have a lot of control and can not opt out of showing ads on the new Google Search Generate Experience. You can?read more about it here.?
