Largest - Article?
Let's start with our “Largest nesting doll”. Your largest nesting doll is going to be your most extensive piece of content. In this case, the largest piece of content is going to be an article. This nesting doll is going to contain all the information you will need to construct the smaller pieces of content (smaller nesting dolls). To help better understand this theory I will be dividing this article into sections and using the nestings doll theory to create content from this article. This article will represent our largest Russian Doll. Let's say this article you are currently reading is 1,900 words, from this article you are needing to create a press release. In this press release you are wanting to create a piece of content that is simple yet engaging, and only a couple of paragraphs long.
Second to largest - Press release?
It's time to create your “press release” for your article. This press release will be your second to the largest piece of content and will represent your second to largest nesting doll. You want to get people interested in your article, however, you don't want to spoil the article by giving away all the main points. To create this article summary we'll start with the introductory paragraph. Now, the only time pulling from the introductory paragraph doesn't work is when it takes the author a while to get to the purpose of the article. It's important to understand you don't have to copy and paste an entire paragraph just because it contains a couple of relevant sentences, if this is the case you can simply harvest the relevant text that you believe will hook your audience. Once you locate the sentences that you think will best sum up your article you will want to place them into a cohesive paragraph. Don't forget to add a call to action (CTA) to help lead your audience to the article. A CTA will prompt your audience to take a specific action.?
From the article I have pulled a few sentences from the introductory paragraph, and added a lead-in:?

Medium Sized - Email Copy:
Now that you have created your press release, it's time to create your email copy. Following the Russian doll process, you can pull from your press release, because again with the nesting doll theory you're pulling out of the piece that is directly larger. So, taking that 100-word press release you have just created, let's cut that in half. This copy may only require a few short and simple sentences that get right to the point yet are still intriguing to your audience. Similar to creating the press release you may not need to copy every sentence verbatim. This may require editing and reducing the size of sentences that are more extensive. Similar to before, at the end of this email copy you are going to want to add a CTA.?

Second to smallest - Social Media:
Social media copy is a powerful way to encourage likes, comments, and even visits to your website. Social media copy is a direct line of communication to your followers. Typically social media copy needs to be a lot shorter due to the way social media users engage in the platform.? Often it is important to condense all the necessary information you want to communicate to your audience in approximately two lines of text or about 20 to 30 words. To create your social media text you will want to pull one or two sentences from the last piece of content you have just created, in this case, this will be from our email copy. Remember you don't want a wordy paragraph, you want a strong line or two.?
You can be creative with this piece of content and rearrange words from the email copy to highlight the most relevant piece of information:?

Smallest - Headline:?
Lastly, It's time to create a headline. This will be the smallest fragment of information. It may not even be a full sentence. Imagine you need to tell someone something as they're getting on an elevator and you only have seconds before the elevator doors are about to close. In those few seconds, you are going to want to tell them the most important part of your message. This phrase should be the best and most concise text to use when leading someone to the content of your article.?
Subheadings are great to pull from because they are already prewritten key ideas located in your text.
There are a few different options for creating content using the Russian Doll Process. Each of these options will give you effective content to use for all your necessary pieces of content
Three options for proceeding with this process are as follows:?
#1: Pull the text that can be found in the largest piece of content. You can pull from the beginning, the end, or even from a subheading in your article.?

#3 Pull the text from any larger piece of content and revise the text to fit the intended purpose. You can take information from your larger pieces of content but don't make it an exact copy and paste. For example, when revising a sentence you can make a statement into a question.
