Storyboard18 Global News Break Confirmed: Publicis Media gets Spotify’s global media account
Spotify awards its media account to Publicis Media after a global pitch. Following the global realignment, Publicis Media gets the streamer's business in India. Storyboard18 broke the global exclusive story on February 1.
As reported previously, India was not part of the global pitch after the streamer called for a review of its $240 million global media account in 2023. The global contest had come down to two ad holding company groups - Omnicom and Publicis. The incumbent is IPG Mediabrands' UM.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledged the impact of content and creators, saying “You are the MVPs of the internet.” Over 200 creators were nominated for the National Creators Awards in categories that ranged from the ‘Disruptor of the Year' to ‘International Creator Award’.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the first-ever National Creators Award on March 8 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. He also had a brief interaction with the winners. The award is envisioned as a launchpad for using creativity to drive positive change.
Disney CEO Bob Iger on Reliance deal: It’s kind of the best of both worlds
The Walt Disney Company's chief executive Bob Iger said that the $8.5 billion Indian media merger deal with Reliance Industries is the “best of both worlds” for the entertainment giant.
Bob Iger said, "We have a very good partner in Reliance, and we get to have a chance of growing a business and lowering the risk of doing so."

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, YouGov BrandIndex revealed that among major audio and video streaming brands in India, Netflix was viewed most positively by female customers over the past 12 months.
It achieved the highest score of 78.9 – an overall measure of brand health, calculated as an average of its Impression, Quality, Value, Customer Satisfaction, Reputation and Recommendation scores.
Within the smartphones category, iPhone was the most positively perceived brand among females (78.4), followed by Samsung (76.0) and Vivo (67.3).
