Publication Alert: Replication Study
I'm thrilled to announce the publication of our paper, "Replication Study of PD-L1 Status Prediction in NSCLC using PET/CT Radiomics" in the upcoming special issue of the European Journal of Radiology (EJR) titled "Reproducibility of AI in Radiology".
Key findings: We aimed to replicate Zhao et al.'s promising radiomics study predicting PD-L1 status in NSCLC patients using a new cohort of 254 patients. However, their ML models underperformed on our dataset. Further, also our benchmark experiment showed low predictive capability. These results raise concerns about the replicability and predictive value of radiomics for PD-L1 status classification, emphasizing the need for rigorous validation in AI-driven medical research. ??????
