Greetings Fellow LinkedIn Peers:
It's absolutely natural to have some pre-game jitters right before you make a presentation to your peers. Anyone who tells you otherwise is simply not being honest with you and most importantly themselves.
I am blessed to have presented on the topics of Event Security & Family Safety and Preparedness around the U.S. Here are 5 tips I would like to share with you so that you can make your best presentation possible. Here goes:
1.Confidence:
Believe in yourself and your God given abilities to make a positive impact in a troubled, conflicted world. If you want people to have confidence in you and your message, you must first believe in yourself to deliver your message. Confidence is key.
2.Teamwork:
Surround yourself with positive, honest, transparent, hard working individuals. Build your Team today. You can't create positive meaningful change all by yourself. Impossible.
3. No Fear:
Don’t let anyone or anything hold you back from living your absolute best life. Fear is simply not an option. Fear is not part of the equation. Just take a deep breath. You've got this.
4. Continuing Education:
Read and learn everything you possibly can about your passion, what drives and fuels your motivation on a daily basis. They say it takes about 10k hours of learning to become an expert in your chosen field. If you are not putting the time into your career, you won’t get the results you want. There is no substitute for hard work. Practice, Practice, Practice. It's that simple. Some people catch a lucky break, most successful people I know work really hard.
5. Goal Setting:
Set personal and professional goals on a daily basis, create a vision board, actually see yourself crossing the finish line. Chart your progress on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. It’s not a race, but rather a marathon of endurance. Remember, it's your race. The only competition you have is with yourself.
Now go out and change the world. Today. Right now.
Thank you!! ????????????
