Public Infrastructure Network Nodes
Intelligent Infrastructure will Power the 21st-Century

Public Infrastructure Network Nodes

The Autonomy Institute is focused on the "Path to Commerce" for Intelligent Infrastructure and Advanced Services within Cities.

“Investment in a 21st-century Intelligent Infrastructure is among the highest priorities for stimulating economic expansion, national security, and job growth.”

Intelligent Infrastructure will be the Brains of our Economy

Local governments are struggling today with permitting disparate systems that need to be a single open and Intelligent Infrastructure. The integration process is ready for a jump start. The country that does this well first will likely capture the preponderance of the economic benefit. Time to get "Street Smart" and embrace Public Infrastructure Network Nodes (PINN) vs. utilitarian structures that are not supportive of community aesthetics.

We need to Be Street Smart with Intelligent Infrastructure

We need to stop bolting, strapping, and hanging 21st-century devices onto wood poles and deploy PINNs, the roads of the 21st century. Industry 4.0 requires far more than wireless networks. Broadband for all, Intelligent Transportation, Next Generation wireless, Enhanced GPS, Digital Twins, Edge Computing, Resilient Grids, and Data Exchanges.Intelligent Infrastructure addresses the key challenges of our lifetime, including Vision Zero and Broadband for all. Most important; securing data for people, cities, and governments. Public Private Partnerships for $100+ Million Programs

Public-Private Partnerships will underwrite the deployments and help secure our Data. Billions of dollars are being allocated to Public Infrastructure Network Nodes (PINN). PINNs will be the key to Industry 4.0 and resilient transportation infrastructure.

Vision Zero: No more POCs and Pilots, it is time to SAVE LIVES!

We have known for over 20 years that safer and more optimized mobility was highly dependent on?INTELLIGENT INFRASTRUCTURE .?

Since 1999: 900,000 Deaths, over 50 Million injuries, and $10+ trillion in economic loss on our roadways. We will Save 50 lives for every 100 PINNs deployed within our communities.?

Intelligent Infrastructure Grids are Critical for 21st-Century Solutions

Intelligent, Autonomous, and Electrified Grids & Corridors

The Birth of Intelligent and Autonomous Systems. There was a moment of time that for rail, for electricity, for communications, for aviation, for interstate highways, for the internet, for the cloud, . . . . . . .?and now for the Intelligent Edge Infrastructure that will be the foundation for Industry 4.0. Electrified mobility, resilient electricity, additive manufacturing, autonomous systems, aerospace taking us to mars, intelligent and autonomous corridors, and unlimited bandwidth to anyone that wants to consume it.

The Future all starts with Intelligent Infrastructure

This new Intelligent Infrastructure is at the foundation of the rapidly growing Industry 4.0 movement. The difference about this infrastructure is the requirement to be densely deployed on the sidewalk. Public Infrastructure Network Nodes (PINN) provide the unified infrastructure required to support Integrated City Services, Autonomous Systems, Commercial Use Cases beneficial to the community, and National Security and Privacy. Resilient and safe autonomous systems require intelligent infrastructure, digital twins, data exchanges, as well as technologically informed public policy. The necessary expertise exists currently in many of the component parts but not as a coordinated and focused effort anywhere in the world.?The Autonomy Institute has built an organization with hundreds of leading experts to take this challenge on.

"Edge computing, NextG wireless, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Assured PNT, and resilient electrical grids will drive the largest infrastructure buildout in our nation's history.”??

New Infrastructure has always been the Foundation of Transformations

  • Freight Trains - required Railways and Depots
  • Aviation - required Control Towers, Communications, Radars, GPS
  • Interstate Commerce - required Roads, Highways, Bridges
  • Transport Ships - required Ports and Containers
  • Overnight Delivery - required Nonstop Systems and Air Transport
  • Internet - required Network Access Points, Data Centers, and Fiber

Infrastructure Drives Growth and Innovation

Integrated Intelligent Infrastructure

PINNs are the bridge between the digital and the physical world at the point of data creation. The Public Infrastructure Network Node (PINN) initiative is the first unified open standard to support Broadband, NextG wireless, Edge Computing, Radar, Lidar, Enhanced GPS, and Intelligent Transportation Systems. PINNs are designed to deliver a multitude of advanced edge sensors and computing capabilities. This digital infrastructure will support decades worth of commercial impact and provide a platform that can easily be upgraded with new sensors, new radio access networks, and the continued evolution of computing resources. Data gravity now mandates that processing occurs at the digital edge and the PINN will power this next layer of computing. Time to BUILD!?

There is a growing number of pioneering PINN manufacturers in the United States and abroad. Origin MEC ,? SEMPRE.ai ,? Toro Blanco Group , Syndeo Cities , nVent , Valmont Industries, Inc. ,? Aero Wireless Group , ClearWorld , HEPER . Matthew Chase, P.E. , Rob Spalding , Zack Hodgin , Chris Henshue , Gary Henshue

The 21st-century infrastructure will drive the largest productivity gain in our nation's history. PINNs support the five key national priorities - NextG, Rural Broadband, resilient cities, ending the digital divide, Enhanced GPS, AI, and Autonomy.

Autonomy Institute

The Autonomy Institute(501c3)?is a government, industry, academia and public alliance focused on accelerating the "Path to Commerce" for intelligent and autonomous systems. Over 100 organizations are engaged and supporting the policies, markets, jobs, and community benefits of autonomy to foster social and economic transformation.

Intelligent and Autonomous Infrastructure is the equivalent of the Eisenhower Interstate Highways. The Autonomy Institute collaborates with large infrastructure investors on the creation of $100+ million Public-Private Partnership programs. The intelligent infrastructure enables?the rapid and expansive deployment of rural broadband, NextG, edge computing, intelligent transportation systems, APNT, and smart grid devices. This infrastructure has substantial benefits to cities by?eliminating the digital divide and preparing communities?for Industry 4.0 solutions. The national deployment of this infrastructure will create millions of new jobs and generate billions in economic growth.

The Autonomy Institute is developing an "Autonomy Commerce Act" and an "All-Up" Autonomy program within the United States.
