PTV Group pilots its first hardware solution in the UK under Umovity banner

?? Exciting News! We are proud to announce the first joint Umovity project in the UK. For the first time in Europe, we're using Econolite's EVO RADAR. This milestone not only marks our debut in traffic detection hardware but also showcases the European premiere of an Econolite product.

Here is what Devrim Kara, PTV Managing Director in UK said: “This is a very exciting moment for PTV! For decades we have been trusted to simulate the movement of traffic and people from a single junction to an entire city, but until now our customers have needed to source the traffic detection equipment elsewhere. Now we can provide both traffic data collection and interpretation.”

Econolite Participating at California Transit Association’s 58th Annual Fall Conference & Expo

Econolite is excited to participate at the upcoming California Transit Association’s 58th Annual Fall Conference & Expo (Association) November 15-17. The Association’s Annual Fall Conference & Expo, being held at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, Calif., is the State of California’s premier event for industry experts to gather and discuss today’s transit insights, challenges, solutions, as well as explore and experience the latest in transit hardware and software technologies and solutions.

Starting at this year’s Conference & Expo, the Association has adopted the tagline, “Connecting Us,” which evokes the convening of the transit industry and the Association’s strength of building coalitions while describing how public transportation provides sustainable mobility for its communities. This theme complements well with Econolite and PTV Group’s leading-edge software transit management, simulation, modeling, and planning software solutions.

At the California Transit Association’s Conference & Expo, Econolite and PTV Group, under the brand Umovity, will continue building on the momentum of the Mobility Tech Update presented on October 24th, focusing on technology- and data-driven connected transit applications. At the Fall Conference & Expo, in booth #601, members of the Econolite team will be demonstrating and discussing Centracs Priority, as well as PTV Flows, PTV Lines, and PTV Vistro software solutions that are designed to help dynamically optimize transit operations and planning.

In case you missed it, or want to re-watch Econolite’s Mobility Tech Updates, we’ve included the following presentation highlights:

Be sure to connect with Econolite on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram for the latest information about Econolite’s upcoming November events, and other news and updates.

The world’s best public transport

If you work in mobility, you might get the impression that there are as many rankings for the best public transport in the world as there are cities on this planet. And there probably are, as every traveler with a blog or every travel platform publishes a post on the subject at some point. For our blog article, however, we decided to rely on a more trustworthy and reputable source: a December 2022 study conducted by the consulting firm Oliver Wyman and the University of California, Berkeley.
