PTFE lined pipes and fittings

Ptfe lined pipes, fittings and valves are used mainly for corrosive applications or for high purity applications. The Indian pharmaceutical sector is growing day by day and demand in this sector for bulk drug processing is increasing, same way demand for plastic lined pipes, fittings and plastic lined valves growing rapidly.

Since ptfe can withstand high temperature up to 200 Deg. C easily, Application for high temperature process like distillation, absorption, stirring, mixing started using more and more ptfe lined piping. Majority processors are using ptfe for ptfe lined pipe production and ptfe lined elbow production. Fittings like Tee, cross, reducing flange and reducers are lined with a similar group material called PFA and FEP. The temperature withstands capacity of both material is totally different like FEP lining can be used up to operating temperature of 150 Deg. And PFA lining can be used near 225 Deg. C continuously. Due to cost difference of both materials, 70-80 % processors are using the FEP material in standard products. Only in case where clients are specifying PFA lining they use that.

Plastic lined valves like PFA lined ball valves, PFA lined plug valves, PFA lined flush bottom valves are also very much in demand. These valves are based on ASTM standard.
