The asbestos impregnation method is also applicable to flax and polyaramid impregnation. The whole process is similar to fiberglass fabric?impregnation, including immersing the material to be impregnated in the material tank, lifting part of the dispersion when the impregnated product material rises from the tank to form a PTFE layer on the surface, and then drying and baking. However, this type of material usually does not need to be sintered. Asbestos will partially ionize in water to form a positive charge, which is conducive to the condensation of the negatively charged PTFE concentrated dispersion on the surface of the asbestos line, and at the same time prevents PTFE from penetrating into the main body of the product, which can save PTFE.

Before the impregnation treatment, the 60% PTFE concentrated dispersion can be moderately diluted with deionized water, and some non-ionic surfactants such as TritonX-100 can be added. After drying and baking, it is best to calender the product to make the surface smooth.

Graphite and porous metal materials can also be coated with PTFE dispersion. The operation method is to place the product to be coated in the dipping tank, use the vacuum method to remove the air, and the air in the small pores of the product is also removed together, and then let the air return to the liquid surface of the tank. The pressure difference will push the dispersion into the micropores. To increase the amount of immersion, multiple cycles are required. Unlike fiberglass fabric, graphite and porous metal materials need to be sintered after drying and baking. This PTFE-coated graphite product has many applications in the chemical industry.
