Innovation & Collaboration

Outdoor IP66 / IP56 Enclosures

In 2014, recognising a gap in the market for switchboard enclosures suitable for harsh, marine environments, PTAS developed a pioneering IP66-rated solution. This innovation led to significant deployments in coal loading facilities across Gladstone and other ports, marking a milestone in our commitment to advancing technology in demanding conditions.

ABCD Arc Fault Containment

In response to the AS/NZS 61439.1 switchboard testing standards and a growing need for safer low voltage outdoor control switchboards, PTAS introduced the ABCD Modular Compact Outdoor Switchboard? in 2016 (Reg Patent 2018901626). This NATA certified innovation not only addresses the catastrophic impact of arc faults but also represents a leap forward in risk mitigation, moving beyond traditional PPE to re-engineer the risk entirely.

Switchboard-Online Support

Launched in 2018, our unique online support system revolutionises maintenance and troubleshooting by providing secure, instant access to essential documents and information through QR codes and a dedicated support website. This approach enhances safety and efficiency, eliminating the need for risky, live-board interventions.

Industry 4.0

At the core of PTAS is our drive for innovation, particularly in the realm of 'smart interconnected switchboard control solutions.' Our forward-thinking approach ensures we remain at the cutting edge of the Internet of Things (IoT), delivering future-focused solutions to our clients.
