Imile Wepener: Interdependence between Non-physical and Physical

Newsletter 18: Co-creation with Source - A Massive Idea.

1. Introduction

Esther Hicks discovered over four decades ago that she could translate blocks of thought from "Non-Physical Source Energy" - which she identifies as her "Inner Being" or "Soul." This collective consciousness refers to itself as "Abraham" (unrelated to the Biblical figure). Alongside her late husband, Jerry, she shared this wisdom through workshops, presenting it as information she permitted rather than channeled. Even after Jerry's passing, Esther realized their communication could continue, suggesting that the veil between the physical and non-physical lifts when we open ourselves to their connection.

2. The Relationship Between the Physical and the Non-Physical

Dr. Iain McGilchrist, a psychiatrist, neuroscientist, and philosopher, has explored the interplay between consciousness and reality in his groundbreaking books, The Master and His Emissary (2009) and The Matter with Things (2021). Some consider The Matter with Things a work of philosophical significance on par with Kant or Nietzsche.

McGilchrist proposes that existence arises from a "betweenness" - a dynamic interaction between the physical and the non-physical. He describes a restrictive yet creative process that actualizes Self (Source Energy/God). He references 19th-century philosopher Friedrich Schelling, who likened individual consciousness to vortices in a stream - temporary, distinct, yet inherently part of the greater flow.

2.1 All is One, and All is Many

Building on the stream analogy, McGilchrist suggests that reality is a single field of potentiality, continuously differentiating into localized forms (individual beings). However, each differentiation remains a holistic entity rather than a fragmented piece. He compares human consciousness to a hologram - each part containing and enriching the greater whole. In this view, consciousness is the fundamental substance of the universe, and matter is a specific expression of it.

2.2 Everything Emerges from the "Betweenness"

McGilchrist asserts that we are in constant interaction with the Non-Physical, adjusting and evolving through reverberations between Source and self. He argues that panpsychism - the idea that consciousness is intrinsic to the cosmos - is the most logical perspective, challenging the outdated materialist belief that reality consists only of what can be observed with the senses.

2.3 Communication Between the Non-Physical and the Physical

If the material cosmos is a projection of a grounding consciousness, McGilchrist suggests, then conscious beings should naturally understand and communicate within it. He posits that human brains have evolved as remarkable instruments for shaping and channeling consciousness, implying an inherent directedness within the cosmos.

2.4 Speaking the Language of the Grounding Consciousness: The Voice of Abraham

Esther Hicks exemplifies how one can access broader wisdom by permitting communication with "Abraham," which describes itself as the culmination of all lived experiences - both physical and non-physical. This perspective underscores the interconnectedness of all beings.

2.5 Our Self-Image

Abraham teaches that perceiving the "bigger picture" is often easier through feeling rather than intellect. When we appreciate beauty - be it in others or nature - we align with Source Energy. In these moments, we experience the oneness of God and self in a visceral way.

2.6 We Are Co-Creators with Source

McGilchrist emphasizes that we are not passive observers in the cosmos but active participants in its creation. We help midwife new realities into being, making our existence inherently meaningful.

Abraham reinforces this concept:

"In time, you will have all answers to all questions. The first question we want you to ask is, 'Who am I?' The answer: 'You are God.'

3. Conclusion

God is expanding consciousness - an ever-evolving interplay between individual perception and energetic manifestation. New paradigms like this challenge entrenched beliefs about external reality, yet they hold profound significance.

On a personal level, we shape our future in each present moment. Every action, thought, and intention matters. This realization is both empowering and awe-inspiring.
