WHAT THIS DAY WILL DO FOR YOU
I will tell you how to focus purposefully to enable you to get what you want out of life effortlessly. We will explore the science that explains what is holding you back and you will experience the difference between your normal everyday state of mind how it feels to be focused - in the zone. You will learn how to put yourself deliberately in the zone so that purposeful focus will become your normal everyday state of mind.
THE BAD NEWS
First of all, we need to explore the bad news... why it is that your life doesn't effortlessly flow. The truth is that your life, right now, is exactly how it's meant to be - if you're not entirely happy with it, it's because you haven't done what needs to be done to achieve what your heart desires... plain and simple! But you are not alone - we humans are handicapped by the one thing that should actually be working for us, our own mind. Psychology proves that we are actually "hard-wired" to not focus - and focus is the one (and only) thing we need to achieve effortless happiness and success in every aspect of our lives.
(JUST) A LITTLE SCIENCE
In normal everyday default mode, your brain ticks over on autopilot - it's designed to make sure you make it through the day... hardly a recipe for happiness and success. However, psychology has understood, for quite some time, that the human brain restructures itself according to how it is used - a phenomenon known as neural plasticity. What's more important is that, over the last couple of years, cognitive psychology and neuroscience have discovered how you can deliberately "rewire" your brain to be purposefully focused - and that's the key to happiness and success - and, most recently, research has enlightened us on how we can make our very best decisions.
THE (REALLY) GOOD NEWS
First of all, anyone - and that includes you - can learn purposeful focus. On the day, we will explore all the very latest scientific research that confirms the exact steps you need to take - and what the results will be. And what might those results be? You will - not can, will - achieve happiness (on your terms) and success (according to how you define it)... effortlessly. The steps you need to take are so simple that they almost defy belief... but modern neuroscience has established just how powerful these simple steps are. WHAT
YOU WILL DO ON THE DAY
Having explored the Bad News and gained an understanding of how the normal mind ordinarily works (against you); having explored the Good News and learned what psychology and neuroscience have learned about how the mind can operate at an extraordinary level (to get you what you want out of life) you will then:
- Take the scientifically proven steps to develop purposeful focus - these steps will quickly rewire your brain.
- Experience how it feels to have deliberately decided to be "in the zone" - this experience, the experience of mindfulness, will be your springboard to happiness and success.
- Learn how to set your mind - the "purposeful" part of purposeful focus and, then, learn how to make the kind of inspired decisions that will get you to where you want to go.
- Be given a set of tools - a daily action plan - to enable you increasingly develop your purposeful focus and - most importantly - maintain it when you most need it.
IT'S ALL ABOUT FOCUS
You might have gathered that happiness and success is all about focus... purposeful focus. Purposeful focus requires mindfulness (the opposite or ordinary everyday mindlessness!) and a purpose or intention. Your purpose (your goals and objectives) needs to be understood and embraced by your subconscious mind - something you will learn to do on the day. Purposeful focus is the art of paying full attention to the present moment, mindful of your purpose. It is the simple recipe for effortless happiness and success on your terms.

Participant numbers are limited to ten per workshop. The workshop takes place at one of three venues listed below, starts with coffee around 9.00am and finishes by 5.00pm - with breaks for coffee, tea and lunch. Dress is "smart casual" and it would be best if you could forget your mobile 'phone or tablet for the day! The day is personally facilitated by Steve Afshar.
The workshop costs £645 including all refreshments with online and follow up support and free 90 minute 1:1 Purposeful Focus consultation identifying levels of focus and control to remove stress, achieve more and experience the continous existence of flow.
