Sadism: the derivation of sexual gratification from the infliction of physical pain or humiliation on another person. Psychopathic disorder perhaps? Not necessarily, research has it that sadism has been found in patients who don't display any or other forms of psychosis. Well then, I guess it goes without saying there can't possibly be any sort of justification for sadistic acts or people. No, I don't deny there are some cases of masochism: consenting partners willingly indulging themselves in aspects of pain and humiliation for sexual pleasures. I mean, the lengths people would go to receive or give sexual pleasure is bizarre. But hey, there's a thin line between pain and pleasure after all. That's for the not-so-psychotic group of individuals to deal with however they deem fit.
As for the rest of us with a certain percentage of normalcy resonating within us, let's come to a coherent and logical thinking for a second here. How about some reverse psychology? Yes? Who's to say the pain and humiliation inflicted on the sadists' victims can't be inflicted on them with the same exact intensity or even more? I'm talking to the typical sadists here, those that only find pleasure from torturing others. Those that when the tables are turned on them, whine like a bunch of little kids. Those that beg to be pardoned for having pain inflicted upon them. What makes you so different from those that you have gladly and easily preyed on for your own pleasures? Should you be exempted from going through the same sort of animalistic path your victims have trodden on just because you suddenly think your sadistic actions might be caused by some sort of psychosis?
I strongly believe that we all have our demons that we deal with on a daily basis and just because others seem to have it all under control, doesn't mean they can't be sought out when pushed to the limits. It's so sad that some of us deem ourselves different from others cause of our states of minds. I bet it should be pretty clear by now that we all bleed the same and there's only too much our bodies can take. Yes or no? The yes have it.
