Psychological Safety and Me
Psychological Safety seems to have been the buzzphrase of the year. For me, at any rate. I've mentioned it frequently in the various development sessions and business meetings I've been involved with over the past 12 months or more.
And there's no doubt it's easier to project and promote it than actually be an instigator or receiver of it. But Psychological Safety has definitely been an intrinsic part of my working day for the past month and I've learnt a lot as a result.
This video is testament to that.
And although the details have been removed for the most part for fairly obvious confidentiality reasons, I think you'll get the nub, so-to-speak.
What I've discovered, then, is confirmation, if not affirmation, of what I learnt in theory. That psychological safety is essentially covered by two words:
1. Boldness
2. Trust
What do you think? Are you able to share your experiences on this? Experiences, mind, not theories ?? . I may be tempted to (gently) remove the latter from the comments stream.

1 年I’m not convinced everyone actually knows what the term #psychologicalsafety actually means. So it would be an interesting exercise for you to do a few of your #linkedinpolls to explore it From my perspective it’s permission without repercussion to speak openly & honestly in any environment without being tarnished with a black mark or be seen as someone who is looking to put the cat amongst the pigeons. It’s a term that equates to freedom of speech and a #carteblanche to be mindfully expressive
