In Psychiatry we need to go through two phases
The first. - Reconceptualizing mental disorders as brain disorders. As stated by Confucius, 'The beginning of wisdom is the?ability to call things?by their right names' Currently we have a descriptive (non-brain-related) diagnostic system which is not informative about etiology in psychiatry. This first step will offer testable-predictions toward the second step.
The Second step. - Validate the testable predictions generated in the first step. For the first step 'Alysis' is coming soon - stay tuned
