?PSTN switch-off date is extended
As recently reported by BT in their full year results, the PSTN Switch off has been extended to 31st January 2027.
This is good news for organisations needing extra time to migrate customers away from legacy telephony solutions to All IP. However, NICC urges all CPs and providers not to lose focus?on their migration activities. It is now vital that your migrations move at pace, while ensuring that customers are not adversely impacted by the migration.
The NICC All-IP Task Group is here to help with this migration. Our members are from the major players in the telecommunication industry and have a wealth of knowledge and experience with the migration of services to IP. We have recently re-published our lessons learned document (ND1445) which is freely available here so you can benefit from what others have already learnt.
If you can’t find a solution to your Telephony IP migration issue in our lessons learnt document, we recommend you come and talk to us. We are happy to do what we can to help; please reach out to us at [email protected] ?or call us on?0800 319 6050?or?+44 (0) 20 7036 3636.
