Transforming Lives, Communities, and Organizations
What are the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals?
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals otherwise referred to as the Global Goals (or ‘UNSDG’ for short) are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. It is a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and improve the lives and prospects of everyone, everywhere.
All 17 UNSDGs are integrated to recognise that development must balance social, economic, and environmental sustainability. It is the blueprint that seeks global partnerships that can strive and work towards peace and prosperity for all by 2030.
How is People Systems Consultancy aligned to the UNSDGs?
Our solutions focus on improving the financial capacity and intelligence within the low-income and underserved communities through quality education to ultimately reduce poverty and build their self-sufficiency. We train beneficiaries irrespective of their gender, age, and ethnicity, and equip them with the necessary skillsets to drive their business innovatively to trigger a sustainable increase in their income-generating capacities. Our programmes create great depths of success, as on top of impacting the lives of our participants, we take it one step further by looping in their local communities as well.?
Our solutions contribute to the actualisation of six (6) of the seventeen (17) UNSDGs.
Approximately 10% of the global population are still living in extreme poverty, measured as those who live on less than $1.25 a day. The target has been set to eradicate extreme poverty by 2030, and to ensure that everyone is granted equal rights and access to basic services and economic resources as needed.
In our line of work, we impact beneficiaries across different walks of life—our primary target group mainly consists of those from low-income or marginalised communities. Through our works, we build the financial capacity and intelligence of our beneficiaries, all of which leads to the growth of their income which enables them to break through and break out from the cycle of poverty based on their own capacity; and gain access to an abundance of resources necessary for their livelihood, or to improve their living standards.
Education is key to enabling upward socioeconomic mobility and building a nation that prospers in all aspects—politically, economically, and socially. The target is focused on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education while promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Essentially, to eliminate all forms of barriers and discrimination in education and to improve accessibility for everyone, at all levels.
Through our programmes, we promote the acquisition of knowledge, specifically geared towards a more entrepreneurial and business approach. In PSC’s Group of Companies, we believe entrepreneurship and financial skills should not be a privilege taught to a few but available at quality and depth to the entire population. The skills and knowledge obtained will empower various levels of communities with an alternative source of living, improved financial management and increase their income—all of which increase financial success, employment, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
