Proving You Weren't An Underperformer (Or Average) When You're Unemployed

Proving You Weren't An Underperformer (Or Average) When You're Unemployed

You were probably doing a great job, but were either in the wrong place/time when your company had a mass layoff.

But how does your target employer know this?

You could tell them, but why should an employer believe you? Every candidate says this (especially underperformers). Plus, employers know that mass layoffs are also used to fast-track terminations of underperforming employees.

You could show them your annual reviews, if you get past first impressions that you might be an under (or average) performer and get face-to-face interviews. But then how can a hiring manager know if you were your boss' friend, drinking buddy, or if they were an "easy grader".

This presents a risk to hiring managers hiring an unemployed candidate - Were you someone else's problem?

If you're unemployed and feel that employers are biased against you because you're in job transition, you likely aren't overcoming this employer risk in your resume and interviews.

To overcome this unemployment risk, you need to prove to employers that you weren't an underperformer ... instead that you were a top (or at least above average) performer.

Good thing there are strategies to demonstrate that you were a top (or above average) performer that you can use in your resume and interviews - and they work regardless of past performance levels ... all without lying. Why not let me show you how to give the impression you weren't an underperformer, so you can beat unemployment and find a great job fast?

This is the 3rd job market recession/recovery cycle I've recruited/coached through, so I've seen first hand what resume and job search strategies succeed for job seekers during recovering job markets. I've also seen mistakes candidates make, causing their recovery job searches to fail. I've been through this before and know what works and what doesn't.

That's why numerous job seekers who work with me have already gotten job offers every week since mid-March 2020.

As a top national recruiter who reads hundreds of resumes per day, who has helped hundreds of thousands of candidates in their job search, and seen thousands of employers' job search processes from the inside, I've got a different perspective than most career coaches.

I see that most job seekers do essentially the same things, even when they think they are job searching differently. I also see most job seekers were taught search methods that eliminate them from consideration, because they conflict with the employer's hiring process.

But I've been teaching job seekers to accelerate their job searches for 14 years by using non-traditional resume/job search strategies that demonstrate impact rather than just being average. I'll show you how to accelerate your job search so you can find a job fast by understanding employers' point of view and hiring processes ... and using this understanding to beat your competition.

(I'm not just a career coach. I've also been a top national recruiter for the last 17 years ... so you'll get advice from an insider's point of view.)

Let me show you what you can do now to change your job search and resume so you can find a job fast, even if you're between jobs, over 40, trying to change careers/industry/location, if your industry is in decline/consolidation, trying to overcome long term career gaps, family leave, find a remote job, turnaround your job search or other tough to solve job search problems.
