Having been approached by a client, they asked if we could assist with a specialist project removing ochre from a culvert within a disused railway tunnel of over 900m. There was access issues to contend with. Also complicated issues with access water ingress that needed to be evaluated and a solution put in place to mitigate the Environment Agency.

We provided specialist off-road equipment to clean the ochre from the culvert. This allowed us to avoid any access issues. The water ingress issue was mitigated via the use of a specialist spray line coating. This vastly reduced the costs for the client as no re-lining was required. 

We were able to complete the works cleaning the ochre from the culvert, in budget and on time.
