? Providing Help and Hope in Hawaii
@AOur heartfelt sympathies are with the people of Hawaii, whose close-knit way of life, rich with traditions and customs, has been forever altered by these tragic wildfires.
? Sadly, the wildfires are now the deadliest in the last 100 years.
? Working 24/7 alongside our partners, the American Red Cross cares for families by providing them with a safe place to stay, food to eat, and emotional support.
? We know this is a frustrating time, and the Red Cross is working with our partners to get help to where it is needed as quickly as possible. This includes moving more relief supplies to Maui from the mainland and distributing food and relief supplies as soon as things are in place to make this possible.
? Our work in Hawaii is just beginning. Recovering from a wildfire of this magnitude will take time, and the full community is coming together to support one another.
? Lives have been turned upside down, and people need help now. You can help people affected by the Hawaii wildfires online at redcross.org by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (800-733-2767) or texting the word HAWAII to 90999 to make a $10 donation. Your gift enables the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to, and help people recover from this disaster. #americanredcross #wildfires #mauistrong #charity
