Providing Early Access to Technology Skills Brings Transformative Change
Gearbox Europlacer strongly believes that access to technology skills is vital to the transformation and empowerment of our continent’s youthful population. One of our key partners in achieving this vision is IEEE Africa and its various chapters and societies, including IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS)
We were privileged to partner in an initiative by led by the Kenyan chapter of IEEE CAS in collaboration with Tumaini Africa, ARM engage, and the KOALEY Group, to equip and support a computer and electronics lab at the Dreams Children's Home in Kajiado County, Kenya.
The event brought the fascinating world of hardware technology and robotics right to the fingertips of these brilliant young minds with the contribution of “Made in Kenya” Raspberry Pi Picos from Gearbox Europlacer and other Raspberry Pi Products. Through the introductory sessions and engaging workshops, we introduced the basics of coding, physical computing, and robotics. The children were not only eager learners but also enthusiastic creators, designing their own projects using electronic circuits and code.
Thank you to Tumaini Africa, IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) Kenya Chapter , Arm (E3) engage, Koaley Group Ltd. and all those who contributed to this transformative event. Partnerships like these amplify the impact of delivering the skills and confidence that shapes the future our African youth.
Every child deserves the chance to explore, learn, and innovate. Together, we're creating a brighter future, one line of code and one robot at a time.
Your support and dedication make all the difference.
