Full Time or Part Time Small Animal Associate Veterinarian near Fayetteville, NC

Located between Fayetteville and Sanford, NC in the Cameron community, our 7-year-old practice has enjoyed rapid growth since its start. Lakeside Animal Hospital is a privately owned, large free-standing practice who’s owners value time with family, compassion for our clients and patients, quality medical care and their team’s wellbeing. Our practice is located within 2 hours of the coast, 1 hour to Raleigh and a day trip to the mountains. We are in a new community filled with restaurants, coffee shops and nice homes at reasonable prices and a low cost of living.

Our capable staff contains multiple licensed Veterinary Technicians and extremely experienced Veterinary Assistants. We highly leverage them by utilizing their skills so our veterinarians can produce and still not be over worked. We have a high support staff to doctor ratio.

Lakeside has a diverse and exciting case load and the ability to manage complex care within our practice. Yet, we are only 1 hour away from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine if specialty referral is needed. 

Our ideal associate is detail oriented while still being able to manage multiple cases, leverage staff and remain organized and on time for appointments. We perform multiple soft tissue surgeries daily so surgical skills along with good internal medicine and diagnostics are necessary to be successful. We are willing and able to mentor new graduates as our doctors enjoy teaching and sharing challenging cases.

To manage our patients properly we have in-house Idexx bloodwork, SediVue urinalysis, digital radiography, ultrasound and digital dental radiography.

The Full Time schedule for this position is a five-day work week with shifts at either 8 am – 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm. Saturday alternates on a three-week rotation and the hours are 9 am to 1 pm. If you are on Saturday you are given a day off during the week. Part time hours are 2 – 3 days per week 8 am – 5 pm (one day must be Thursday but the others are flexible) and every third Saturday. If you work Saturday you have Thursday off.  There are no overnight emergency duties. Our Full-Time benefits include vacation and sick leave, health and liability insurance, retirement plan with match, continuing education and annual dues for AVMA, NCVMA, NC license, DEA license and NCDOR Privilege license. Part time benefits include listed licenses and dues and liability insurance.

Full Time Salary Range from $80 - $100k based on experience level. Part Time to be negotiated based on hours.
