Here is a great example of AI working in a good way [yes, that's for all you nay-sayers about AI]. Risk screening, check fraud detection and more have helped the government recover more than $4 billion, Treasury announced. The payment integrity arm of the Treasury Department says that new AI-powered tools are helping it spot fraudsters and bad actors before they access government money.

The researchers implanted sensors in the brain of a man with severely impaired speech due to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).?The man was able to communicate his intended speech within minutes of activating the system. A study about this work was published today in the New England Journal of Medicine. More on this here.
