Today lets Celebrate Dr Aisha Pandor: SweepSouth Impact in South Africa

Dr. Aisha Pandor is an award-winning scientist with a PhD in Human Genetics, a business management graduate, and the co-founder of SweepSouth – an online platform for ordering and paying for and managing homes cleaning services from your laptop, phone or tablet. SweepSouth is the first company on the African continent to offer this Uber-like system and, connect professional, experienced and insured cleaners with homeowners. Through SweepSouth, she strives to give people access to dignified working opportunities. About 15 000 domestic workers have already been linked with jobs via SweepSouth. Naspers injected R30 million into SweepSouth through its R1.4 billion start-up fund. SweepSouth received additional funding from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, which has invested $1 million (R15 million) into the company as well.
