Proud to Support Lozells & Newtown!

I am thrilled to share that I have been in collaboration with The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) embarking on an exciting community project in Lozells & Newtown, backed by a generous ￡1 million investment. This initiative is close to my heart, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such dedicated partners.

Working with the Aston Villa Foundation, local parents and carers groups, and community members, our goal is to tackle the serious issue of gangs and youth violence by bring meaningful improvements and investment to our beloved neighbourhoods. Here’s what we’ve been up to:

• Family Advocacy: We’ve just started finalising the funding criteria to get the window open for applications on this fund
• Engaging our youth: We were sure to include a Youth Inspector from a local community parent’s and carer’s group in decision making
• Building a stronger community: This was a key area picked up in the feasibility stage by community engagement through community workshops

Seeing the impact of our collective efforts and volunteering my time over the last 2-3 years, has been incredibly rewarding. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved for their hard work and dedication. Together, we are making a real difference!
