Proud To Be a Nurse

Choosing to become a nurse in the past needed a lot of courage and determination, it was not a very welcome choice by families, and involved a lot of resistance in making this dream come true. Nursing was not thought to be a profession that has it's high status in the society. Yet the choice was really related to the passion towards helping people.
Nursing is a career, it is not a job. Those who went into this battle many years back had to endure the difficulties of this profession in silence, as it was their own choice, the image of this profession had always been underscored, however, being a nurse is a life long career, and once you are a nurse you are always a nurse, at home you are a nurse, on the beach you are a nurse, on the plane you are a nurse. Nursing is the profession of no place and no where.
Even if we move very high up in our career path the nursing spirit will always prevail in all our actions and reactions to life situations.
Nursing is an Art, I am proud to be a Nurse because not everyone can be.
