We’re thrilled to share that our son JR had an incredible summer at NYU!?Over four weeks, he fully immersed himself in college life and the vibrant arts scene of NYC.? ? His days were packed with singing, dancing, acting, choreography, and music history, giving him a taste of what it takes to excel in musical theater. Watching around a dozen Broadway shows only deepened his passion. ?
Among 36 talented students from around the world, JR’s 12-person team particularly shined in dance. We were lucky enough to see him perform, and we couldn’t be prouder.? This experience solidified JR's dream of majoring in Musical Theater, with NYU as one of his top choices. We know whatever path he chooses will be the right one, and we can’t wait to see where?his journey?leads! ?
Have you ever had an experience that helped you realize or solidify a dream? How did it shape your path forward?

Retired K12 Educator Rowan/Salisbury Schools
5 个月Good afternoon to all! I am LJ Steele, and I also am a retired educator K12. Helping a young person to achieve their goals is something that I will continue to and be concerned with for the rest of my life. My mom was a teacher and encouraged many of her students as well as encouraging me and my brothers towards of our dreams and education. So happy that you and your husband along with many others who really care about our young folks are doing this. I was in the marching band in high school and college many years ago along with my oldest brother. We received full scholarships that assisted us to work towards our goals and dreams and while it was not so easy, we did accomplish a lot. Two of us are now retired and the youngest brother is still working in higher education. Love this and your kindness and caring towards your son. Please keep encouraging him.
