Proud moment in my professional journey

I grew up reading Javed Jabbar's columns in The News and Dawn almost with academic rigor, as his insights profoundly enriched my understanding of Pakistan Studies and International Relations during my O’ Levels and A’ Levels. This intellectual pursuit was not just driven by my school curriculum but was also deeply influenced by my late mother, who instilled in me a love for art and literature. As a teenager, I grew up admiring thought leaders like Javed Jabbar, Ubaidullah Baig, and Zia Mohiuddin, who shaped my worldview.

So when Favad Soomro offered me the opportunity to join the Strengthening Participatory Organization - SPO as a member of its General Body, it felt like a full-circle moment. On a personal note, among all my achievements, this one holds a special place in my heart—it’s a testament to my parents' pride in my journey.

Subtle flex but I’m thrilled to share with my LinkedIn community that I have been a member of the General Body of SPO since November 12, 2023. Founded in 1994 by Javed Jabbar, SPO has been a cornerstone of community empowerment and participatory development in Pakistan for over three decades. Being part of such a transformative organization is a true privilege.

Javed Jabbar's visionary leadership continues to inspire me, alongside the remarkable individuals that it has gathered under its umbrella: Sadiqa Salahuddin , Mahnaz sheikh , Kalpana Devi, Samina Khan, Naseer Memon and the list goes on. Their dedication to uplifting communities is a source of immense motivation.
