Be proud of being an HR.

After working for more than a decade as HR now, I felt that being an HR in the organization is somewhat similar to being a Housewife at home. This article is dedicated to all those HRs who are honest and faithful to their profession.

In India, when a girl gets married and enters her In-law's house, she is expected to manage her new home just like her own. She understands the culture of her new family, she nurtures it, she manages domestic chores, manages the expenses within the fixed budget of her family income, takes care of her family, guests, everyone. She plays multiple roles of being a wife, a mother, a daughter-in-law, a sister-in-law and works like a mediator between families. She has the ability to change or build a culture of the family. But, even after doing all this, being a housewife is a thankless & selfless job and unfortunately many of us do not give as much recognition to them as they deserve, in fact we question their dedication and job and sometimes even treat them as liability. Do you think it's an easy job to do? Definitely not.

I feel similar to be an HR in any organization. We are the people who are the bridge between management and employees, we are the culture builders, our job is to manage everything and everyone even without having any authority. We have the ability to thrive the business goal by influencing management with right approach. However, we serve the organization without expecting any recognition we deserve because being an HR is a thankless job. So all my HR mates, no matter what others think of you, always be proud of what you are and be honest to your profession. You are doing a great job amidst so many disparities.
