Protecting Your Vision: Navigating the Most Difficult Conversations in Entrepreneurship

“It takes a lot of self-confidence to not be shaken by the perspectives of people who don’t know where to go.”?

This was one of MULTIPLE gems shared by Josh Hall , web-design business expert, and coach, on this week’s featured episode “From Freelancer to Leader: Josh Hall’s Lessons in Difficult Conversations”.

After working as a freelance designer for 10 years, Josh eventually built, scaled and sold his six-figure web-design agency. He is now a business coach and expert helping others to do the same.?

In this episode we went deep into the difficult journey of an entrepreneur, as well as how to overcome all of the challenging conversations that come up along the way.

As Josh shared his journey, one thing that really stuck out was the need to successfully navigate the opinions and pressures from others.

The more attention your business gets, the more you open yourself up to opinions and feedback. That said, most entrepreneurs would probably agree that this typically starts with family and friends.?

You have a vision. You do the research. You begin taking the steps to launch your business. You decide to tell your friends and family.?

Almost instantly, you feel pummeled with plenty of (well-intentioned) warnings and concerns about your decision. Now doubt begins to seep in.?

“Am I making the right choice? Is this too risky? Should I stay at my 9-5 where it’s safe?”

If this experience seems almost TOO real for you. Josh has some great advice for receiving input while continuing to pursue your goal of becoming a successful business owner.

Confidence plays a key role, there are some really logical and practical reasons you may want to (respectfully) disregard the opinions of others during this process.?
