Protecting Your Valuables

Protecting Your Valuables

Marketing is about making you, your brand, product, or service stand out. Sometimes that “differentiation” is worth protecting. That’s when you invest in a trademark! For instance, both our name (Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists?) and the name of the event we own (Western Sponsorship Congress? / WSC? and the Five Minute Pitch?) are registered trademarks. We considered them all valuable enough to protect. So, we went through lawyers, searches, and approvals to protect them. When you have something of value, protect it.

Here are a few things that you probably know really well, but never knew they were trademarked!

  • The iconic Darth Vader “breathing sound” is trademark protected.
  • If you watch Law and Order, or any of its spin-offs, you are familiar with the “chung chung” sound. It is trademark protected.
  • And of course, the Mockingjay Whistle/Rue’s Whistle from Hunger Games is trademark protected.
  • The Aflac duck quack and Tarzan’s swinging yell are also both trademark protected.

Remember, if it is of value, protect it!
