Protecting Your Clients From Cyber Criminals Requires a Global Perspective

One of the most important roles of Managed Service Providers (MSPs) is to keep their clients safe from cyberattacks. It’s a big part of what we do at K3 Technology and we’ve invested heavily in our cybersecurity expertise and capabilities to ensure that our clients are always protected. A global perspective is a key component of our cyber services and should be for you as well.?

The reason is simple.?While your clients may all be located in the US, or even concentrated in a few cities or states, cyber threats can come from anywhere in the world. Worldwide connectivity cuts both ways. Just as your clients can do business with customers anywhere on the planet, hackers can target your business from anyplace with internet access..

As an MSP, you can anticipate attacks on organizations in the US based on recent hacks in other countries. If cyber criminals can breach the postal service in the UK, for instance, their next move may be to repeat it against the USPS.?It follows then that you should be aware of and understand the nature of attacks outside the US at all times.

?

So what is the best way to keep one step ahead of cyber criminals regardless of their location? I recommend monitoring government cybersecurity centers. Countries such as Canada, South Africa, Australia, and Spain have some of the most advanced centers and provide tons of useful and actionable information. And you can easily keep tabs on events elsewhere by signing up for automated updates, alerts and bulletins from these centers.

?

Keeping a global perspective and monitoring cyber threats worldwide should be an ongoing part of your cybersecurity offerings. It helps you be more proactive and more effective in keeping your clients’ business safe from attacks, wherever they come from.
